Introduction to Bud

I have done several searches on this topic, but did not find anything specific in the Recreational or Experiences forums.

I have two questions 1) What do you think is the best way to introduce someone to marijuana? Joint? Brownies? Grilled cheese? I saw a really intriguing writeup on Erowid about turkish coffee...

2) I have a hookah. My neighbor used to rave about mixing marijuana with tobacco and smoking it out of a hookah. What are your experiences with this? What is the exact method that you used? Do you use mostly weed or mostly tobacco? And has anyone done this for their first weed experience.

I have smoked weed a couple of times, both with a coke can bong and both were good experiences. I have not put anything besides tobacco in my hookah and am prepared for the necessary cleaning afterwards. I'm asking these questions because a couple friends of mine want to try smoking weed, and I thought I should give it a stronger go before I graduated in a year and start looking for jobs.

as a non tobacco user myself, i can try to give you an unbiased opinion about the mixture of weed and tobacco in your hookah...aw hell, just dont use the hookah. get a real glass bong, or borrow one, to use while introducing your friends to bud. bongs are by far the best smoking method ever. id go with that if i was you. eating the weed might be too intense for teh first tiem, and they might not get high.

1.) I would just make a bong out of a water bottle. They are extremely cheap to buy, easy to make, you can just throw it away when you're done, and it will lure you because of the hugeass rips that you can take out of it, and your friend will like it because he can control the size of his hit and it will hit smooth and cool. 2. You're going to want to use more weed than hookah tobacco. The hookah tobacco is just there to slow down the burning process a bit and make it taste nice.

Actually, I think that regs finally have a second purpose besides cooking. Hookah bowls are pretty wide and deep-- I guess you can fill it with schwagg completely.

Yea the idea from Hempmasta with the bottle bong is definatley good...I always love ice in the bottom of any bong, makes it all nice and cool when you hit it. I know some with acrylic bongs just keep 'em in tha fridge. *thumbs up* good luck!

Fuck it, smoke a joint.Plus, why do people throw out "use a glass bong" like there the easiest thing to get your hands on? I've been smoking for quite awhile with different people and I still havn't used or know anyone who has a glass bong.

i'd say a j or blunt. that way they wont have to worry about lighting it, pulling out the slide, and all that other shit. tell them that if they know how to hit a cigarette, they'll know how to hit these.

For a first time user I would say a joint if its accessable and you have a good place to chill outside and smoke. That way, they'll be able to monitor the size of the hit they want to take - and the high comes on the fastest with a joint so they won't over smoke themselves with the possibility of having a bad experience. As for the hookah - I personally say leave the hookahs for the flavored tobacco, there are so many chill ways to smoke pot alone other than a hookah. I also prefer to not mix tobacco and pot all together - sometimes I enjoy a cigarette after smoking pot just because it increases the body high. I never roll my joints with tobacco and never mix tobacco with pot in hookahs. Enjoy!
