So what are you doing, living off of Workman's Comp or something???

I was working when I was hurt, but my employer had no insurance, so at the workman's comp trial, I only won half (my medical bills for the rest of my life, which at the time were in the couple $100,000's, but nothing more). So I never got a grace period of workman's comp.

You said you might be getting into politics, I think. But you were telling us to step-up and voice our opinions. I'd like to know how. I can't even begin to try and get it for the multitude of reasons I need it, for myself. How would someone even begin to attempt to get a bill for legislation? I started to work for Ralph Nader's Pesticide Bill group in Albany, NY. and I can see how you can influence people on certain decisions that they're not aware of, but what can someone do about pot? I'd say less than 25% of our population thinks that there's at least one thing wrong with it. The U.S. and Europe have been studying it for several years and finding that it cures some cancers. This century in History must be God's joke, just seeing ourselves wriggle our way out of it. He didn't give Birth to weed to have another one His children forbid it.

Organization is key. NORMAL and the ACLU are good organizations to get active with.

You mean, NORML. I'm not about to threaten national security, and these forums are the first time I've ever expressed any viewpoints of mine, globally. I have since registered for only one other forum, a New York Yankees forum, where I only posted once and said I thought Alex Rodriguez would end up with 50-54 Home Runs.
