In the future if you had kids and you found them toking, or you found their piece and whatnot, how would you handle it as a parent?

well, i would tell them to keep it in the house, and dont talk about it in school. But i would smoke with them of course. But that's how i think now. How i think 15-20 years from now might be another story :p

I'd just tell them everything I know about weed, the responsibilites and potential consequences that come with it, and to let me know every time he smokes outside the house. Of course, this is only at an older age, 16/17/18.. whenever's he mature. It will be the same with alcohol basically.

Great topic. I discuss this with everyone.
I would use it as a privilege for doing well in school and in life. If he's doing poorly at school, no weed. My views on tobacco and alcohol are different, though. I wouldn't allow those if I could help it.

lol Maybe he would...Maybe he wouldn't. I honestly won't give a fuck what my kids do as long as they don't make a huge mess of the house, they don't get caught by the cops, and they don't miss tons of school and fail. Oh yeah i don't want them doing hard drugs.

i wouldnt mind much as long as 2 things.
1. they dont use hard drugs (like cocaine, crack, heroin, meth, etc.) but weed, shrooms, even acid maybe i wouldnt have a problem with.
and 2. they grades in school are at least ok

I mean but think about it if your smoking with ur 14 yr old son and our wife finds out, i think itll be a very big problem lol unless your wife is a stoner aswell then its a matchmade in heaven but i mean smokign with your kid is rough cause i smoke with my friends dad alot and his wife is so against it and fuckin flips on him when she finds out we jus smoked a fat blunt of juicy fruit in the basement.

I'd be chill with it. I'd be like yo you can smoke in the house and so can your friends. Don't bring shady people over. And you can smoke out of my bong just don't break it. Don't eat all the food and be respectfull. Don't drive with weed on you unless you are bringing it home. Everytime you get weed put it in your trunk. Never travel with paraphenalia (sp) basically I'd say don't be stupid but enjoy it.
Oh and always offer to smoke with me.

I would tell them that i dont mind as long as they keep up in school and stay on top of their grades. Other than that i wouldnt really care id let them buy a bong and shit like that maby even hit it once in a while, but i probably wouldnt puff with him.

if it were me (and i do have a son) i'd inform him (as i've told every parent and or kid onthis site to do) of all that is marijuana.....not just filter out the good to present to haters or the bad to filter out to the pro-users....i'd want him to be aware of his decisions and the consequences he might have to face for making such a decision...

Depends. If he was really young I would reprimand him and let him know and give him consequences. Unless I saw that he/she was mature enough to handle it and make responsible decisions.
If he was older I would do what my dad does..let me do my own thing, even if I'm not smoking just let him/her know that there are consequences and if these consequences ever come to play that he/she is fully responsible since they feel they can make the decision to smoke weed.
I wouldn't smoke with him/her until he/she was over the age of 18 just because I don't want CPS or DCFS on my ass.
