Hi Ousted ...... It's GREAT to be missed :D :D :D .... I just got back on Sunday, and I've been so busy getting back in the groove that today is my first day back on this site. New Mexico is very beautiful, with the mountains and vast wilderness. The food was also great, and those familiar with the area know how great Green Chile Cheeseburgers can taste (my first time).

I stayed in Santa Fe, Taos and Albuquerque. The highlights of my trip were :

1) Flying for the first time in a hot-air balloon from the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.

2) Hiking at Bandelier National Monument - Hiked several miles and ( and down several hundred feet) into a canyon leading to the Rio Grande River.

3) A day trip to Ghost Ranch (site of the filming of the movie City Slickers).

4) A visit to Taos Pueblo, an authetic pueblo still inhabited by native americans living without electricity or running water.

You've given me a whole new perspective and a newfound appreciation of New Mex, Donnie. I would definitely consider vacationing there, especially for the scenic balloon ride. :p
