It's Bush's fault this happening. With the high gas prices and all, it slows down the entire internet. Damn US government ;)

The server load limit is set relatively low for the boards - it's better to dump some connections than have the message boards grind to a crawl, possibly taking down the whole server.

With that said, another server will likely soon be added into the network, assuming funds allow, to ease the load...

With that said, at this point, it's not clear whether the load spikes are directly message board related - the load spikes may simply be a matter of too many http connections ... a problem that's more easily solved at less cost - not totally sure yet which it is, but anyways we are well aware of the the server load issues and working to improve things.
