Well, growing up with Hendrix music and hearing it often, I may have taken it for granted. Recently, I smoked, put on the headphones and listened to Purple Haze. Incredible. There's so much depth in that recording.
I rented Woodstock again too. If you get the chance to see it,watch his fingers as he plays that guitar. What soul that man had. Wow.

...and then there's Jeff Beck. There's a Hendrix tribute CD out there. Jeff Beck and Seal do a version of 'Manic Depression' that is real good. The spin Doctors do a great version of "Spanish Castle Magic' too.

Hendrix, he was so out there. are you on a wax or a CD? Does it still have his stereo effect stuff. He loved to make it run around your head. He had an apartment across from where we used to broadcast, 12bar club in Soho London. There is a young guy around just like him now, I will dig out his DVD and put it up. He is like as if Hendrix would be if alive today. But still starting out, he is young, but I am old, and this is what he was like.
