its nearly 3 weeks into bud and this is the small 1 of the 2 ive started at the same time.. other 1 is hitting my dam ceiling almost.. i know its not the way to go transplanting during bud... but do u think it would love more room or do the roots not grow so much in bud stage? its in a basic size bucket...
thanks guys..

It doesnt look to bad, I would think holding like that and exposing the roots is probably stressfull.. .what size bucket is that.. I would say you should be in a 3 gallon at the min, 5 even better.. but it really doesnt look that bad...JMO, IMO, etc..

To me it looks to be about a 3 gallon bucket. Be better if it were in a 5 gallon but 3 will work. I'm of the thoughts that if transplanted correctly that there should be no stress. Only good. But from what I've glommed onto it seems that root growth at that stage of the game is pretty much maxed out and most of the energy is being put into flowering. So transplanting if the plant is healthy makes little sense.

If you transplant it now I dont think you will gain much, I plan to always use 5 gallon buckets.. then at worse I am wasting growing medium.. but I dont worry about re-potting... Soil is cheap.. Now of course If I was doing SOG or something where I was not gonna grow a huge plant, that may be too much.. Listen to Marc.. he knows whats up, I am hoping he will take HARRDON place.. I have plants named after both of them.. I trust him!!

I take it you dont have a timer??
cyberbud
10-10-2005, 01:48 AM
yeah man 1 x 15 min segment timer is on the incandescent but thats all, have tried it on the 250 watt but even that makes the timer trip out sometimes so its no good trippin out and turnin my light on when they are supposed to be ...'sleeping'
someone tells me plants dont sleep... wat a loada b...lox ? in 12-12 at dark time they really droop, thats wat i call sleeping... wat do u think? do they suckup any juice while they are sLeEpInG? ive always been told no they dont... sounds pretty logical i duno.

i tell u wat tho sleepin next to them knocks me sparkout at nite with the smell wafting thru the gaps.. =) really id like fan controls to slow em rite down so i can extract n intake a bit all nite..
man thats another thing i cant find anywhere.. a FLAT wall fan?? like a big 12 inch extractor size but a normal circulation fan. having that big ass 12inch desk fan there is gettin right in the way .

to be honest.. it really would make much of a difference if you did. The plant is already well into it's flowering stage...if anything it's only secondary root development now. those roots at the bottom there look a little off colour.. not bad though. you'll need to flush and stop fertilizing a good 2-3 weeks prior to harvest..

cheers all u guys, i thought they look a bit off colour but then the soil is pretty shit and i guess ive overdosed a bit... so just plain water for rest of gro basically? i just gave em a weak PK shot b4 reading this.. and im supposed to add a second shot of blossom blood in 2 weeks........ tho that isnt food anyway its ph control n supposed to swell and fur up my buds
yeah that is the way to sort the lamp heat out,, and the reflectors just get too hot so i lost them.. soon il upgrade to a proper aircooled reflector with glass shield and 600watt bulb, but thats yet another damn fan on the go,, well worth it tho. i think the temp in there is ok its cool all the time

Yes.. control your Ph but don't add anymore ferts.
Just make sure there's a good week of nothing but water before you harvest.

No, I didnt mean it like that.. HARDDON was the coolest dude on this board.. that is why I have a plant named after him.. I was just saying I hope Marc B takes his place, he has been real helpful too..
BobBong
10-10-2005, 01:26 PM
Harddon WAS cool.. once apon a time.
I got tired of his member bashing, cat shit talk and general assholism...sometimes i just didn't understand where it came from. But it's obvious that some people are like that. despite his knowledge in growing and nutritional biology, he still managed to come off as a royal asshole...sometimes.. nobody willl take his place because i don't think anyone had more of a harddon for stirring the shit pot.
