at noon today (eastern time) on the history channel there is a one hour show called "Hooked: Illegal Drugs" and it's all about marijuana, the history of it, and how it became illegal. I caught a little bit of it last night and it was showing people hitting bongs, joint, pipes, you name it. after that there are like 3 more episodes. the next one is about cocaine, then after that one LSD and ecstacy, and then finally heroin and morphine. if it's an old show re- playing then sorry for the old news, but theres still gotta be some stoners like me that havent seen it yet. so check it out, check your local listings.

Please tell us what it taught you as to the history of it's illegalization? It would be interesting what the mass media present and what you learn from their presentation.

Yeah I saw the show last night and it was really interesting. Funny on how they didn't once say that maryjane was bad for you. Everyone they interviewed including the doctors, probably smoked weed. The P.h.D.'s on the show said that smart people are attracted to marijuana because it lets you escape from being so intense all the time. I can relate to this, I need it after I get done studying, its so nice, way nicer than alchol. But yeah check out the show especially the one on weed, it will really open your eyes up to the fact that the only reason that the govevernemnt made it illegal was because it was associated with a lower class of people - Mexicans, Blacks and that now in the 1990's 11 states have already decriminalized small amounts of it. I talk to my older bro and he tells me that when his generation comes to power, the kids that were born in the 70's, so in a bout 10 to 20 or so years, thats when the real shit is going to hit the ceiling.

It's a pretty sweet show, I'm ordering it off from History.com, all four parts. But anyways, watch the marijuana part. I've done my research on it, so it wasn't much new to me, but it's definitely very informative. It's funny as shit, because the show pretty much says that four years after Anslinger's report came out for the criminilization of marijuana, that a group of scientist, paid for by a prominant mayor (I believe of New York) did a four year study on what Anslinger had said about marijuana, and the scientists disproved everything negative that had been said about weed at that time. So basically, afer they disproved literally EVERYTHING negative about marijuana, Anslinger felt betrayed and got pissed off, and weed stayed illegal, this time with no reason's besides "we're the government, we can do what we want to." Kinda humorous, in a way. I recommend watching it.

Mayor LaGuardia, it was the LaGuardia Report that laughed in their face. They said pot killed you because they injected a monkey with synthetic thc in the brain and after 10 injections it died! Imagine in 1931 they said they had synthetic thc (which really didnt happen until 30 years later)! What the hell were they injecting in that monkeys brain! I wonder if injecting water on the brain 10 times would kill the doctor? Anslinger was son in law to Secretary of Treasury Mellon, who owned the bank that owned Dupont that wanted to show America how to use nylon instead of hemp, and also the bank owned Hearst and paper and needed to use chemicals from Dupont to make paper, hemp was its only cheap competitor. It was also oil as hemp seed was the major lube and oil and lighting fuel and paint thiner etc. How could they use those new German patents if hemp was in the way?
