Although I do not practice necromancy I do believe it can be used as a tool at appropriate times, perhaps.
Share your necromancy information here. Perhaps later I will share some of my knowledge on the subject too.
Necromancer - Experts at Manipulating Death and the Dead.
The main tool of a Necromancer is the death ether. An occupational hazard of being a Necromancer is that, working so close to the essence of death, one becomes consumed by the very forces they are attempting to channel. Being careful, with necromancy as in conjuring, is the key to survival, and correct execution of the rituals is the key to power.

Like what?
Crowley was more associated with sex magick...as a matter of fact I havent seen anything about him being into manipulating the dead

Ferre im sorry that actually hurt , I couldnt stop laughing.....bastard lol ;).
As for sXe well I dont know....the many things that crapped on him in his life, the crap he had to deal with on a consistent basis. The amount of sexually transmitted diseases he contracted....As to the golden dawn well half the members basically ended up dead or ruined because of infighting. Plus "Magick" has no evidence to support it so its inherently not that useful :).
Crowley also engaged in Vodun(a.k.a. Vodoun, Voudou, Voodoo "hollywood term only", Sevi Lwa) which venerates and claims effects over many aspects of the dead. And, Vodun is itself a bastardized religion from former aspects of spirit worship (all societies have engaged in necromancy to some state through veneration of the dead, ancestor worship etc). I would suggest reading all his books which are currently available you can get quite a few of them fairly cheap in reprints. Just because his main focus was Tantric doesnt mean he wasnt into other aspects (In fact its hard to find one he hasnt dabbled in nevermind went full blown on, the man seemed obsessed with power at any cost).

you need to find a cemetery. Of course, being necromancy, you have to have dead people around to start half this stuff. With Necromancy, you must experiment. There is no cut and dried way to simply pick up, "The Big Book of Necromancy" and be on your way. It is a personalized art that requires you to do your own brainwork. Study gem properties, metal properties, demon summoning, wizardry (to a small extent) and magecraft for a general idea of how magic works. With that understanding, warp and twist the knowledge so that it can be used to work with the forces of death.

It is to a "new" corpse. Edit: I think.
necromancy is a dishonorable skill. raising the dead from their "peaceful rest" is just wrong. i believe people practice necromancy, but i do not approve of it - who gives a shit what i approve of?

..you would have noticed by now that working so close to death does some rather nasty things to you (being a living entity). This is because though you are protected, as a Necromancer, you are still not immune. The real dilemma that most people find is that their own bodies come to resemble the very forces they conjure. Necromancers tend to become very fragile in body and in appearance; their skin bleaches white, their cheeks go sallow and their hands become twisted and bony...
i used to be a member of a ghost tracker unit...basicly looking for spirits to communicate with. there was this old lady who seemed to fit the above description. to this day i wonder if she was involved directly in necromancy...or if maybe her decayed appearance was due to involving herself so closely to death ethers..

my personal experiences are none. but the thought of power that can pulled from almost anything is imo a very believable thing. i woudln't believe of it as such in movies and they way they 'commercialize' witchcraft, necromancy and so on....but i'd be willing to believe it exists....i've never really heard much about necromancy (matter of fact, sad as it is i've only ever even seen it in one movie: the chronicles of riddick) but i'd be much intrested to read about it.....any certain way you can point me?

It's your belief in these things that make them work...Not the rituals themselves. If a necromancer does happen to conjure up a dead spirit (Don't flame me but all I know of necromancy is what it means and the Hollywood version of it) it's because he, or someone who has done the exact same ritual before him, believes it without a doubt in his mind. I studied magick for awhile. Mostly general stuff, but the one common thing I found is that you have to believe without a doubt in your mind something will work for it to actually work. So...Yeah. Doesn't mean you can't do necromancy though. Sounds like good dirty fun to me.

Harry Potter?
I bet the author must have smoked some really good herb before they wrote that stuff. Maybe Potter and all of those characters should have been toking the herb, and taking a few grams of shrooms.

:D hilarious...awesome avatar btw...
I just cant believe that necromancy will work, because if it did, wouldnt there be a whole bunch of people manipulating the dead everywhere. There would be like dead people fights. :p hahahaha...sorry its just too hard for me to believe...I guess Im just a skeptic.
Please feel free to tape and show me though if you do happen to do some cool necrotrick and show me. :rasta:

Funkamander-To learn some ceremonies for summoning demons you should read the Lesser Key of Solomon, written by S.L. MacGregor Mathers (former leader of the Golden Dawn) and Aleister Crowley. You can find an online version here:
http://sacred-texts.com/grim/lks/index.htm
This focuses on demons of the goetia, which are the ones most commonly summoned. I have no personal experience in this, but you should be careful, it isn't something you'd want to start off with if you have no previous training.
As for necromancy:
This site is supposed to be pretty good:

Where i don't practice necromancy, i can't tell you too much useful information, but i believe the main book associated with it is the necronomicon.

dude, i dont mean to be rude, but your fucking retarded...
if you do beleive in demons and shit, you know the repercussions of their presence in this world. so why the fuck would you want to inflict this upon yourself? or worse yet, someone else???
just remember the one most important rule of whitchcraft, what you do to others comes back and effects you worse.
For good and bad, to make happy or sad...
Cunsult with the spirits and you shall see,
your "favor" shal be returned, by the power of three
