chill ghost man,PETA has it's flaws...lots of them,i agree with their main points, but they are a little extream, they don't bother me though,i don't eat anything that wasn't killed humainly, and i know this because i kill them,i hunt to save money, and i do NOT kill for fun or sport nor do i waste anything,it's the circle of life mate, don't get me wrong though,i STRONGLY apose sport hunting,if you hunt do so for economical reasons, like ground beef being $3.89(USD) a pound, and i do not hunt everyday of the season, two average size deer will last untill next season, and thats for me and my dad,no sence in wasteing life, and life is life wether it's on two legs or four, and regardless of intellegence(deer, and all other liveing things feel pain just like us,and are just as smart as humans, they're minds are put to use for differnt things, but that does not constitue disrespect for their life)what i'm saying is don't bitch at me for feeding myself,it is the natural circle, ghost be gratefull for the food provided and you must realize that,if our predecesors had not hunted you would not be here,i have no qualms with people being vegetarians,i suport it all around and agree with many points they make, but please do not call me a bad person for following a natural course.

I'm not calling you a bad person. I still disagree with killing, but i'd be alot happier if more people did what you do.
What makes me sick is the way animals are slaughtered in their millions.. Because of this they're treated badly and killed brutally. Alot of them then aren't even used for food because the way they were raised makes them unfit to eat, so they get thrown out. That's the main thing i'm against, and it pisses me off when people go after organisations like PETA for standing up against something that's so obviously wrong.

I'm a vegetarian and all, and I agree with the animal rights movement to a certain degree, but there are some things that really tick me off about PETA. Okay, if you want to argue for animals to be treated as equal to humans, fine, we can disagree and as long as you're not forcing your views on the rest of society, that's all right. But some followers of PETA have used violent tactics and property destruction to further their political goals, and PETA itself has not explicitly condemned violence like it should. PETA says they neither condemn it nor condone it, but they understand it. That is absolutely unacceptable. Violence is not an acceptable means of achieving your political goals, period. Especially when you're constantly bitching about every act of violence committed against any animal (besides humans).
Secondly, they oppose medical testing on animals which is essential to most medical research these days. Without animal testing we would lose most medical progress, and I for one think it's okay to do experiments on a few animals to save a lot of humans. The prospects of saving millions of human lives, to me, are far more important than whether a few lab animals have a pleasant life or not.
Thirdly, they oppose the killing of animals so fervently, yet they themselves put animals to sleep at some of their own facilities. Go figure.

i agree, thats another reason i kill my meat, the treatment cattle, pigs, chickens and more than any egg chickens recive sickens me,i've watched "Meat your meat" and know what some facilitys do to their animals,i'm more than willing to pay for small farm's eggs to put a dent in the egg companys,no matter how small, and i'm mor than willing to pay $5.00 for a gallon of soy milk because of the treatment milk cattle recive.and not that you were call me a bad person, just that organizations like PETA DO callme a bad person, even though i go though so many messures to make sure there is no suffering for the few deer or hogs i do kill,PETA is a very flawed organization that is very close minded on many issues, but i will protest the horrible treatment some livestock are subject to right along side them.Ermitonto i disagree with your second paragraph, animal lives are just as valuable as ours, like i said, life is life wether it is on two legs or four, but you are correct in that animal research is nessisary, but it should be done humainly, the lab sheep should have good lives,in comfortable conditions.
