Hey all. I thought this was cool enough to share..........here's my story on why cannabis was outlawed.....IT'S ALL ABOUT OIL!!!

In the mid 1800's, the oil companies didn't want cannabis to be #1 resource for oil so they created a big government scare!!...The government leader "Rochefeller" also just so happened to own large shares of the oil companies, so the rich oil companies rallied against in favor of their petroleum and kerosene.

I did a 10 page college thesis on "The Benifits of Marijuana" about 15 years ago, and here's a little of what I found out; Until early1800, hemp seed oil was most consumed lighting oil in the world. After that second only with whale oil. At the 1850 census, cannabis was grown on 8,327 plantations, and was the 3rd largest crop in Americe. Then in 1859, it was replaced by petroleum and kerosene. Rockefellers was president then and he got this bill going called "Rockefeller's National Petroleum Pennylvania oil discovery" "Oil"...You make tires and all kinds of stuff with petroleum oil and the oil industry stood to loose billions of dollars........You know it's funny; seems like the oil industrys still have us all by the balls............sorry for the pun......I don't have balls but they got me too!!

Also just for the record.. Is is a fact that cannabis is 10 times stronger then cotton. Cannabis is a very renewable resource and is the number one biomass producer in the world. It's good for the environment and has many incredible ways to use; You could heat your house with it. fuel your car, make tires and other rubber stuff, make plastics, all kinds of shit...diapers, nakins, paper plates, tp, etc.

Enough of my rambling, but you'll get a kick out of this; when I gave my report to the class, I was the only one that got a standing ovasion!
yea........keep it going!.........brothers and sista's........LEAGALIZE!!

check out www.jackherer.com it has all kinds of info on what you can make out of hemp, given the growth rate of hemp you could probly replace the entire oil industry in 3 months.

Nothing new in my eyes. At least there are others out there that realize that the government is manipulating everyone in the country with ease because people are blind to it's tactics. Congrats on the paper! ;)

That's just the thing; I think cannabis posed a seriously monopoly threat at that time. Think of all the materials, were it legal to possess, that could be made? Paper with no lost forests, an extremely cheap everlasting oil supply (gas would be next to NOTHING then), and what alaskangirl said too with the kerosene and whale blubber and such. I think that cannabis would have monopolized the country at a time in which there was much controversy over monopolization.

And on the seventh day, God stepped back and said "There is my creation, perfect in every way... oh, dammit I left pot all over the place. Now they'll think I want them to...use it... Now I have to create Republicans."

Oh, and by the way, on the seventh day, he set the Earth on fire, and chilled, because it made it all of cannibus. The week after he put the trees back down.
