my new job

i got a job dishin and doin shit like that at a truck stop restaraunt and it kicks ass too because really the work isnt that hard, and i work with a 38 year old black guy who has all kinds of advice about school and life and just hearin him makes me think that i can do stuff in life even if i really cant and there are some cool people i work with and a really hot chick or three and i work 16 hours a week for now but soon like in a week i will get more hours and its cool becuase for 4 days of work i get $210 and i work from 7-3 so it doesnt take out of my day besides sleeping and i dont really mind because then i have all week to crash and then work some more and get paid. i have gonna have some money to party.

My job is ok, Theres only one person I can really get along with and his rasta, and everybody else is a ex cokehead or a acidhead. I really don't mind the acid heads though there cool

Yeah no one knows I smoke weed at my workplace. I have to hide it. I work for the county attorney. I've had the job for about a year now. I work summers there. It's a nice little desk job. I can sit down all day and type papers all day long. I get to dress up. And the guy pays very well. The only bad thing is I know he knows I smoke pot. He keeps telling me to "be careful" and winks. The funny thing is I think he's a smoker too. Because he's pretty liberal when it comes to drug laws. He says he doesn't think pot is that bad. But it's illegal and people in public office have to watch their backs. Hmm Yeah that means he's a toker. :p

I work as a waiter at a Denny's... Most everyone I work with is the "I'll smoke it if I come across it" type, but none seem to have solid connections (myself included; haven't lived very long in this area)... lots of drinkers, though, and lots of fun. Working at a restaurant is the best stoner job (at least for a younger stoner who isn't looking to find a career yet), imho: tons of free food, can just sit and talk to the cooler customers, and a toke or two (when I can find it) makes the bitchier customers far easier to deal with.

Only downside is the kids... Kids Eat Free Tuesdays, gah! Two adults, four kids, a massive mess (that I have to clean up), kids screaming and throwing shit at me, and in the end, it's like an $8 check with a shitty tip (and I rely pretty much entirely on tips for income, so that sucks).

And hmmm, I'll silence myself before I begin ranting. ;-)

How can you handle food service? I tried the waitress thing and I quit after two hours. Ever notice you always have this freaking looking dish washing person? They look like they would be the type to hide dead bodies under their porch. Then you halways have some perved cook that's always trying to get your #. I was a hostess for like six months at another place. Nice place. One of those semi expensive places. I coudln't take all of the damn people. People get all ill when you are fucking with their food and shit. They turn into monsters if you don't get it there in time. Fuck watiressing. And fuck food service! I just had to get that out of my system.
