There is a thread somewhere that about 1 or 2 days ago, they where discussing just that.

I, personally, don't see how this will work.... I mean, one thing is for humans... and we're talking about plants...

I think it's horseshit... but I do give it the possibility... so if anybody does the experiment, please let me know...


Now, a more important matter::: Who would take two pills away from your girl, so you can have a female plant, but possibly, end up with a human baby... either female or male. Now, THAT doesn't make sense to me.

BIRTH CONTROL PILLS
A solution of one pill to one gallon of water has been reported to cause increased growth speed in tomato plants. It is possible this will help herb plants too. One treatment administered before flowering and one administered a few weeks before harvesting might help the plant mature faster.

"One grower told a story of the same type of plants, one administered the estrogen grew to 20 feet, while the other was 7 feet. This may be purely anecdotal, but it may work. Try it and report back to us on results."

Also, i remember on the news a few years ago that the fish around the coast of the UK were mostly female cos of the effects of the pill discharged into the ocean from the sewers via womens piss

rofl...... yes it is far fetched. the fish thing is the possibley the second funniest thing i've heard in my life... the "birth control pills make your plant female" is obviously.. the first.

1. Don't believe everything you read.
2. Don't believe anything you "get from the news".
3. Birth Control Pills are not going to garuntee a female plant.Nor is using birth control pills for growing a proven techinique.

judging by your reply...uv obviously taken 2 plants and experimented on one to see what happens when given the pill....so what were the results? positive negative or indifferent?

The arguement made was that Birth control pills will garuntee the sex of the plant. I've never used birth control pills in my plants because i know it's just damn well, silly. It's possible that it may effect the rate of which it grows.. i don't know.. nor do i plan to find out, if someone else wants to waste the time trying it.. be my guest. I'd sooner give my plant some speed and expect to harvest in 3 weeks.

It is pointless to argue anything with this person.

He/ she offers absolutely almost nothing to these treads other than bantering on someone whom he / she thinks is wrong or feels they are wrong.

He is good at coming up with funny pictures to belittle the grower but offers virtually NOTHING to assist them.

Your best bet is only to ignore him, although he makes it difficult.

But he is I suspect a bit on the 'fairy' side of preference so that might explain his attraction to male confrontation.

And no, he hasnt done side by sides.....he grows average little plants in box in his uncles apartment.

I'm not saying you're lying dude.. i just have a hard time believing that every fish in the water around the UK is female...it's just not feesible that every fish is female..it's been said the f/m ratio is increasing.. but there's been nothing proven.

this thread was about the use of the pill to ensure a female plant. that... is what is not true.
