I'm guessing you're in US, as over here, if you were just driving at 16 you'd be fucked lol
So i have no idea about that, can you get someone that's 21 to say they put them there, or is it too late to make up stories? lol

The 16 yr old will get a possession charge, and maybe worse if they're opened.
He'd go see a judge and probably get a slap on the wrist, maybe a slight fine.
The first time.

If they weren't open, you could just say they belonged to an older person. If they were opened, well that's going to be a little harder to get out of.

Underage posession of alcohol will get you put in jail for a night with bail down here in Georgia. Your license will more than likely get suspended (Hell, if I was the Judge I'd suspend your license) for at least 6 months to a year. I doubt you'd get probation, more than likely a fine.. somewhere near $500? And since you're under 18, it doesn't go in a permanant record. All misdemeanors that you are convicted of before you turn 18 are automatically sealed when you turn 18 and they can never be used against you in court or be looked at except by an attorney. And since the information cannot be used in court, that doesn't matter. So go drink, steal, smoke, and be merry while you're still a minor. " Cheers mate.

just wondering, why did he pull you over? Were you speeding or something, or going through a roadblock?

If it was in the trunk, say your dad must have left it there. Also say you gave permission for a search because you didn't have anything to hide, and you didn't know that someone else's unopened liquor could magically become yours just because it was in the same car that other people drive. What you really need to do is talk to an attorney.

I don't know, I got busted in New York for throwing a party and me and some of my friends went before the judge and we recieved, something like, a $250 fine, I don't think anyone's ever had a problem with it being on their permanent record.

Fuck man, you never consent to a search. Always makes them get a warrant, its too much trouble for most of them.
