Quick questions:
I start 12/12 on Thurs, that's when I water next. Should I continue using vegging nutes for a few days after the lights have been switched? Bring the strength down lower?
Im using Sunshine Mix #1 mixed with perlite. I'm thinking of using Fox Farms Big Bloom. Any other suggestions, tiger bloom?
Should I start flowering nutes at full str?
ADVthanksANCE :)

It takes the plant about 3-5 day's to switch life cycles so it's best to use your veg nutrient mix for the first 5 day's of 12/12 imo. Less shock from the sudden switch of the light change. In nature the light changes slowly over a long period of time and when we grow indoors you speed the process up and from time to time there is a little shock from the sudden light switch. So keeping up with the same nutrients the first 5 day's makes the switch go a little better with a little less shock.
That is just my opinion and my observation from my experience.

5 days? How many times do you intend to nute her during the next 5 days?
I agree with Zandor that I would continue to use the veg nutes.....I gave my 3 weeks flowering tamater plants a nice healthy shot of BAt Guano last night....in addition to their flower nutes.
Remember Whore and Cunt were flowered with Cactus Ferts.....I am tellin you its as good as all that fancy bloom shit when mixed with some superthrive.
And its only needed once a week :)
Dont over complicate.....this is a dirt grow yes?
Keep it as simple as possible....nute only 1X per week....
In my humble opinions :D

Well, I plan on watering with just water tomorrow and then with nutes in 3 days or so. I water once with and then without nutes, it comes out to about a dose of nutes a week.
The soil is sunshine mix #1.
So you used cactus bloom + superthrive for the flower ferts? Intertesting, can tell me more about why is works so well? Or does it just work? :)

Cactus bloom?
No Cactus Fertilizer....2-7-7
It works so well because, MJ, like cacti, are resin producing plants. And the 2-7-7 provides just the right combo during flower stage that a resnous plant needs.
Flowers store a lot of water and when growing the natural balance of the 2-7-7 helps them to store the water in the flower section more so than the stems and roots and leaves.
So yes, I use Schultz Cactus ferts AND SuperThirve.
Its an extemely nice combination and one seems to supplement the other. Results speak for themselves. :)

I don't know why I said bloom... ugh.
I think I will give your suggestion a shot. I'll know where to point the finger if my baby upchucks.

And make sure you get some red lava rock dust in the soil and water well.
Remember all the islands you see covered with tropical forests were once nothing but big lava rocks.
So rich in minerals... :)

Course...we don't care about tropical forests. Only tamater forests. Gotta love them tamaters! A little salt...some pepper...OH MAN!! And smoked tamaters are the best. I love to smoke tamaters. Especially when wrapped in a husk.

Sticky,
I don't think anybody sells lava rock 'dust'.
Go buy a bag of lava rocks (I bought one @ Home Depot for $5)... grab some of them and crush them with a hammer... there, you'll get your dust.
