I thought you people may find these interesting. Only come in 50 and 75 watt versions but would make some awesome supplemental lighting for the lower canopy. Might even work for your tomato plants HD. 2700-7000K. Screws into a regular light socket.

Yea that's really good considering it would do well for first time growers, or for making a seperate room to grow males for the pollen. This makes me very happy since I'm gonna be growing Low Ryders and you can't take clones from them. LINK PLEASE!

Those are just regular bulbs. Not compacts. The tag 'Compacts' suggest the ballast built right into the unit, like a normal fluorescent compact bulb. All of these still require a stand alone ballast.

Once again, just because it fits into a regular sized socket doesn't mean you don't need a ballast and ignitor. You do. So posting such bulbs only shows that you can by hps bulbs...which you've been able to do for decades.

Marc Bensen, now i have had a spliff and thought about it... ur right :)without a ballast, even a 70w bulb will catch fire after a few mins....sites good for cheap replacement bulbs tho

I had also made an inquiry via alibaba a few days ago havent heard anything yet. that site is a direct link with the manufacturers in china, a few months ago I made an inquiry to them to see who manufacture's wusthoff knives (very expensive) (suppost to be german)and was quoted figures in the $2 dollar range for knives that are $78 dollers each here retail. And the funny thing was they had no problem with manufacturing these knives even if the brand name belonged to someone else, apparently trade-mark infringement has no meaning over there.

being that this is the only company that is offering these, and usually light bulb manufacturer's are huge corporation's, and also this company is not "rated" as a reliable supplier via alibaba, I would hafe to assume this is a fraud by someone trying to make a quick buck. as no where else can be found to sell them.
it is a very good idea though.if it were possible other manufacturers would have been manufacturing these as well.
