So, I bought my little sister a really nice bubbler for her graduation (what a nice bro huh?) and unfortunately she dropped and broke it the other day. Since it has a lot of sentimental value, I was wondering if anyone knew of a place in the East Bay (Ca., San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland area) that might be able to repair it. It broke cleanly at a joint and looks repairable.
Thanks in advance

probably not man good glass blowers would probably just make a new one faster than having to fix something.

If it is at a joint and not near the flame there is a "fine china glue" that is made by elmers. Get it for 5 bucks at the craft store. It is dishwasher safe in 24 hours. I have used it on a piece that i have and it has held strong. It dries clear and is very hard to detect on a clean break repair.

You can get glass workers to fix it for you depending on the type of break and where its located. Sadly I doubt that a blower is going to be able to for a couple reasons; Its a bubb so chances are the glass is very curvy and therefore very difficult to make a clean fix on. The other reason is that I would guess (because she dropped it, not just torqued it wrong or cracked it) there is more than just one clean fracture, probably a lot of shallow cracks and small pieces may have fallen off.

yo im in east bay. you cna glue it back together if it is a clead cut. use 5 minute epoxy. pick it up at like home depto or OSH. or if you can check out big al`s in berkely (on telegraph between dwight and that other street i think) just get of of bart at the end of telegraph (buy the college campus and the little walking park) then start walking down telegraph. its o nyour right side. that place blows som grazy good glass and there shit it so durable. some indian dude in there tips bongs over and shit to show how they like never break. i seen him hit a bubbler on the wall (taking a big notch out of the wall) and it didnt leave a scratch except for some white sheetrock residue.

Get the fine china glue. thin, not like epoxy and dries totally clear.

Yeah, actually Big Al's is where I got the piece. The place it broke was a joint between the two main sections. (Here's a link to the style it was http://shop.grasscity.com/shop/grasscity/mjgcrobu2.html ) It's fairly straight, I imagine it could be sanded flat and stuck back together by someone who know what they were doing.
Anyone know an East Bay glass blower?
BTW, it was in a padded bag when it broke, so there wasn't a sharp impact, more of a torqing.
