my plant is two days into flowering but how long do i need to let it flower to get good bud

6-8 weeks. You need a 30x magnifying utility to be able to tell exactly. You look at the trichomes (little THC glands around the bud spots)

if its outdoors,strain,light,nutrient uptake, all have an effect on the flowering period,but as a rule of thumb i always harvest when 75% of the hairs on the buds all over the plant begin to turn darker and wilt slightly, i have had some buds do this and some buds towards the stalk still growing nice white healthy hairs. Those i leave on the plant to swell and mature on their own time. P.S. this is my outdoor rule.

70-80 brown har is fine... i concur... 45-55 days for most strains!!

But if your junk is outdoors... it shoudl be gettingc close to harvest? Northern Hempishere?

Indica strains will flower to maturity in 50 - 56 days.

Sativa strains are closer to 60 - 80 days.
