move the lights back down closer and keep a an eye out to make sure they dont topple over, if they do, no worries, a bit of stick as support tied carefully to it will do the trick, its not so bad because when it comes to flowering i alwys find the buds that start forming underneathe the main bud above, always really small and not that great, the top bits are the best bud material, or solution number 2: prune them down and they will start growing from where u pruned it and then u have full control over trying to make them not lanky, alos try bigger pots to grow them in, and last but not least make sure it isnt gettin to hot in there, heat makes them grow lanky and weak, and make sure your lights are good ones with a good spectrum for veging like the blue spectrum, and if using fluoescents which it looks like make sure it is the cool white bulb in there, then switch to warm white during flowering, keep to all that and u will have some nice pot!

Additional note: fluro lights want to be about 1-2 inches from the growing tip. further than that they stretch.

happy growing.

i have moved the lights for the pic. i have them now set around an inch of the tops. im use in 2x twin fluro's with cool white bulbs, in & out fans .. would pruning the tops help fill them out more or would it be best to let them get stronger first ??

you got off lucky, i left my plants with my bro when i went on vacation for a week and he managed to over water them despite specific instructions and two of five died. with my luck he killed females. i'd go ahead and prune them now, it seems to me more energy would would go to srengthening them if you cut some away, but i may be wrong. and loosly tie them to a stick and they're safe from falling over.
