How do you think smoking weed influences creativity? Does it make you think you've done something great when it's really terrible or does it inspire you to do impressive stuff you couldn't have done otherwise?
In my own experience it's a mix of both, one thing I have noticed is I can become concentrated to the point that I can think about the little details and how they affect the big picture.
I'm sure many of you have created writing, music or other art-forms, what have been your experiences?

Oh, well, uh, I, ah, uh, like getting lost in every little, mind-boggling experiment my mind, I, uh, ah, I, my mind plays, I mean, decides, to decipher, like a little code, oh, I, mean every sentence is like a mystery, you don't know the killer, until he's left.

Well my personal experiences for this have been nothing but positive, will always have a smoke before English essays especially creative writing! Full marks in all English language coursework for last year

Yeah, stoned drawings are a real grab-bag for me. Sometimes it's the shit, sometimes it is shit.

It's a lot easier for me to execute and idea when I'm sober, but a lot easier for me to envision when I'm stoned.

I get very detail oriented. I design and crochet thread table toppers that can be really intricate. I like to paint miniature figurines when I'm high too, I choose better, more vibrant colors. Cannabis and creativity go hand in hand.

I wrote most of my college papers while stoned. Ideas seem to flow better, however I must admit my spelling and grammar were not the best while stoned. I usually cleaned up my papers while straight. I graduated with honors.

I wonder how many students really do write whilst stoned, maybe it says something about the people who smoke or maybe it's not really a factor. I must admit sometimes it's easy to get distracted. Does anyone here write stories or fiction?

Little fish-lamb went to the store.
He got his grub.
He went home.
Then he had a fish-fry.

exactly. i second that. Except i would only know about creativity in music when im high, not in art or writing. (i havnt tried)
but yeah i get so many good ideas in my head when im high, out of nowhere, and they tend to be alot more abstract but original, and still catchy. But my fuckin guitar is broken atm...

All true; But has anyone got any idea what exactly releases that creativity? I don't mean like chemicals or whatever, more about the actual mindstate or thinking. Is it that we lose some kind of inhibition or reality-filter?
What are your views?

It's a Third-person perspective that the psychoactivity of THC promotes.
That's my view.

In other words, weed just makes people great at everything (apart from holding conversations with sober people) lol
