Plastic?

I made a little homemade bong and I used a plastic pen tube for the stem thing the weed burnt in a ratchet bit but the inside of the tube is brown ands wavy looking. I fear the plastic is melting and going in me. Can smoke melt plastic? Its going through water so i figure if there is plastic it will cool and harden in the water but i dont know.

Ya plastic can melt easy, the water probably took out most of the harmful things but didnt it taste like rotten ass? Try using a smaller flame source next time maybe thatll help.

I think i might cover the sides of the inner pen with toothepaste. Think that will work?

use a bigger bottle for ur base, thus more water and more filtration. Small bongs hit too hard iff not glass, and will not filter out the shit u want filtwered out. what are u using for base right now?

I said this b4, i'll say it again. Get about $10. head down to Ace Hardware or something of the sort. Buy an L-shaped tube 1 foot or so long. Go to the sink section and look for some kind of ceil/seal/seel(i can't spell), and then head to wherever the hoses are located and look for a cone shaped object. Tape/glue/whatever and drill a shotgun on the side. There you go. Cost me about $8. Good hitter!

Pen hitters are fine, as long as the bowl is far enough out of the way of the pen and you only light the bowl you have nothing to worry about.

all of my homemade bongs i use pen tubes for the stem mine never melt i use that and connected to a bottle cap n then just use foil over the top of that to put the weed on nothings ever has melted for me
