Can't post pics cause girlfriend has camera on outta state trip.

Help!

Had good grow tips going, nice pistils,
See my thread, "HST".
Plant has had ultra high stress, no question.

Searched site last night for Hermie pics. Nothing conclusive was found.

Plant sexed during gradual decrease from 24/7 to imitate shortened days down to 18/6. She never got anything close to 12/12.

She's been back at 24/7 for over 3 weeks. Had to go on trip and no flowering set up was completed.

Questions:
Has she simply gone back to veg?
or is she Herming out on me?

Re: High Stress
Severe stalk bending to achieve ScrOG. 4 days ago.
Minor Spider Mite outbreak.
Treated with stale Hyponex insecticide on Sunday.
Live Mites were found next day.
Treated with new Kelthane (wetable powder form) yesterday.

Did not avoid bud sites with the Kelthane. Just gave thorough soaking spray from above and from beneath canopy.

Today many pistils seem to have been left behind new alternating branch growth pattern. Very very close nodes though. Almost looks like pisitls mighta just burned off from the Kelthane. Potent stuff. No mites in sight now.

How bad did I screw up or am I worrying for nothing cause she will just start flowering again officially once she is is 12/12 begins.

Wish I had pics but just definitely looks to me like she returned to vegitative state. Again it's been 24/7 for several weeks now.

If Herming out on me - what's best plan from here? Am all set to take cuttings and clone using bubbler/airstone method.

Your plants generally are not going to flower even at 18/6. The 10-12 hours of needed darkness are indeed needed.

I am simply not sure what you are asking either....

Questions:
Has she simply gone back to veg?
or is she Herming out on me?

The plants, if they are on 24/0 light cycle are in veg state.

A hermie, will many times have on one node a set of balls and on the next node, flower hairs....the nodes can even be one set of balls and one flower hairs.

Tonight I will take a pic of one of my hermies and post it.

Sorry I wish i could help more but i can only answer the questions the best i understand them. :)

I would think cloning a hermie is just going to give you more hermies.....

Once you go back to 12/12 she'll start flowering again, no problems....the question is about the hermie....just grow her outside the rest of the way you can still get a good buzz off hermie...but i wouldnt clone or plan on using seeds.

if you see both ball and hairs, yes it is a hermie.

protect your other plants :)

For Harddon (if online), or whomever,

Sorry Hard. My fault. Just have very scattered brain with this development.

5 days ago Jane Doe looked like she was prime for full flowering with growing tips with pistils and basic trichromes.

Now pistils look washed off or burn off or just diminished, possibly stopped. But possibly only from the Kelthane treatment - and maybe will resume on 12/12.
Naturally my expectation was that the pistils would stay right on through to budtime. But now she's just growing new leaves it appears. I think I missed some distinction between sexing, turning female and preflowering.
I was ready with the box. The vacation 2 weeks ago screwed it up cause I could not get timer working so I left her to go 24/7 instead of 18/6 which I had been doing manually.

Damn if any plant is a candidate for HermieLand this would be the one, if we're going by some elements of stress.

Lastly, despite my scatter brained question, Harddon, you got what my real concern is this afternoon.
Was gonna do cuttings today.

I suppose there is no guarantee she has not turned Hermie just based on fact there are no seed balls to be seen anywhere.

Without pics I guess there is no way I can expect someone to say one way or the other for sure, if she has Hermed-out.

But it sounds like you are saying that I might have had pistils even while in a semi-post-veg or preflowering stage. That pistils could appear for a week or so, then have plant go back to normal veg (no pistils)(if she did not get 12/12 as expected), but could then be put on 12/12 later and flowering would resume, dadadadadada.

Sorry Hard, others. Just never got it clear if "preflowering" NEEDS to go straight into "real flowering" (12/12). or if a second veg state can happen (pistils stop growing) without it necessarily meaning that she has definitely gone Herm.

Correction: I was NOT ready with the grow box.

.................................................. ...........

Good news is Kelthane did the trick with the adult Spider Mites and 80% of the eggs look nuked.

Harddon,

There is only this one plant.

It's the plant I am putting into this radical ScrOG that you and Marc checked out. Bold. Beyond. Dangerous. Stressful as stressful gets.

Concern is all the stress she's undergone while sporting pistils.

I do understand 18/6 would not allow full flowering.

But my thinking was that I did not want to shorten the days any more than 18/6 and then the woman dragged me off on HER vacation, and I was too undisciplined about getting the timer ready to hold the 18/6 so I let her just stay at 24/7 when she already had pistils that did out of her time under 18/6 (maybe 3 weeks worth). Next time I will keep a log for sure.

All I knew was that 12/12 is pretty much a point of no return that MUST not be disturbed. So I have made her wait for it - hopefully not too long.

And yes Hard hopefully I am worrying about nothing and that 12/12 will be kickass. At least by my limited standards. tks. r.

OK so the bitch had pistels....but had not yet started flowering.

You went on vacation and like a lazy ass....just left her on for 24/0 :)

Now, the hairs are gone or washed out in color, and you're fretting over this.

#1....if she wasnt flowering when you left, you simply had pre-flowers.
#2....pre flowers die....thats normal.
#3....taking her from 18/6 to 24/0 will simply create more foilage growth. Will it stress going from one to the other....????

Perhaps...

Some strains might even benefit from it. Only time will tell.

Does that stress them enuff to go hermie?

I suppose it could. Only time will tell.

Do the bugs, the scrog the light cycle changes all combined make for a hermie?

It will increase the odds....no doubt.

But remember some hermies are born hermies too, so not all can be blamed on stresses.

Chill. Let GOD handle it and let what happens happens.

Just chill....smoke a bud....and get her ready for flower, and soon enuff we shall both know. :)
