I had seen where people had used magnifying glasses to take closeups. Tried it with the Olympus Camedia 2.1 mega pixel I have. Old camera so it needs help with real close stuff. Just not enough pixels to work real well. Interesting that when I bought it it cost $1300 and was state of the art. Now you can buy them for $150 that's just blow this thing away!! Anyway here's a pic I took looking through the glass. Sure some can do better without, but for those of you that don't have the newer cameras you can still take some good closeups.

Nope. I very seldom use flash. With Photoshop you don't need it as you can go in and mess with it and get it lighter if you need to. But without flash I feel it gives you more color saturation. Flash sometimes burns things out. All I did to this was sharpen it once and a little contrast.

The newer digital cameras have the ability to take some really good photos. Very crisp. If I had to suggest one thing it would be to go with as many mega pixels (mp) as possible. 8 mp is common these days. Soon I'll have one! But anything over 4 works pretty well and is still reasonably inexpensive.
