A lot of y'all know that I love to drink... a lot, but from now on I'm a new person. I mean I'm still going to drink, but I'm never going to drive or ride with anyone who's drunk. Here's why my life has changed...
Last Friday, a guy that I stopped dating about a week ago was drunk and had eaten pills and decided to drive, which is weird because he never drives drunk. He was lighting a cigarette and took a curve too fast and flipped his car. He wasn't wearing his seatbelt and was thrown from the convertible he was driving. He died on impact.
I loved this guy and he was taken because he decided to drive when he shouldn't have.
Yesterday was the service and the hundreds of friends who came amazed me; he was an awesome guy. Last night, everyone was drinking, and, for the first time in years, I decided to not drink and instead be the designated driver. I didn't have a good night, but I took people where they needed to go and no one got hurt. And for that reason, I feel like his death has helped a lot of us to realize our ways and change for the better.
I wanted to share this with y'all because I know how it is to get drunk and just not give a fuck about who is driving or whatever. I just want y'all to realize the dangers because it only takes one small mistake to hurt yourself or someone else or even die.
So please, use a fucking DD.

Good post Blazin. Sorry to hear about your friend though. Over the years I've lost three friends to drunk driving, two who were driving and one who was hit by a drunk driver, and know its just not worth it.

Thanks y'all. It really helps to know that people feel the same way I do about this. I just hope I can help other people learn from it also.

Sorry to hear about your loss, and my best to you and his loved ones.
This is what happens when you drink drive, people. I fucking hate drink driving, and i'm always really shocked when I hear somebody say they drove home after drinking loads of alcohol, or even just a few drinks.
Sorry, it's just the subject really gets to me.. but this isn't the time or the place. Again, i'm sorry for your loss.

same type of thing just happened a couple weeks ago, a girl that im friends with, her boyfriend was at a party, and his best friends girlfriend, another girl, him and his other really good friend went out driving after his friend had like 8 beers(which is usually nothing for him) but they went to do doughnuts in a field and the truck rolled crushing him, he saved his best friends girlfriends life by throwing her out of the bed of the truck, everybody is still really shaken up about it.
Im sorry that something like this has happened to you

Actually, after the accident, I told my sister that if she ever tries to drive drunk ever again I'm going to punch her in the face, knock her out, and take her keys. She tries to drive all the time, and if I'm not there, no one else stops her.
Thanks for the support.
I hope everyone is appreciating life these days.

Yes, you must stop her at all costs, 1 death is better than 2, especially a family member, tell her i said "Stop driving drunk, love" and stay safe :D

Some really great people who have died in this way. I knew a few and it's stories like these that make me remember their lives. Good memories live forever .....

I drank like 1/4 bottle of navy rum, fell of my bike on the footpath/sidewalk and flew like a yard or 2 into a main road, i got cut up bad, broke my watch, had a bike on top of me, and had cars dodging me at rush hour while i was lying in the road haha.
I got up, laughed and carried on (walking with the bike, i knocked the chain off in the carnage lol)
So yeah, riding a bike while drunk is just as bad haha

It's been 5 months since the accident. I just thought I'd remind people about how dangerous it is to drive while intoxicated.

I drove drunk for 20 years... I have had my license revoked for 23 of the 32 years I had them... I stopped drinking 16 years ago and it lasted for 15 and 1/2 years... I picked it up again, but I only do it at home,I thank god I did not kill or cripple anyone along the way...
My biggest fear is getting to drunk to think straight and driving,I haven't yet... I really need to rethink the drinking part of my life... I am a bona fide Alcoholic!!!
Keep up the fight Blaze,it's a very good thing to do...

Very sorry to hear about your loss. I too lost a dear friend to drunk driving and have had several others suffer close calls. I have driven drunk in my younger years. Thank god I never hurt anyone. Needless to say I only drink in the comfort of my own home now and would never drive drunk or let anyone I know drive either. It's a shame your sister hasn't wised up. Hopefully she will. Take care.

Good post and empathy for your friend you lost. Maybe someone reading your post that drinks will heed your advice and pass it on.
