I think it might have something to do with calibrating the meter with a solution made to set it at a nuteral reading,it should have come with the meter, whats the make of the meter and model ?....bonbon

Hiya mate,
Its very simple if you have a CF reading of 12 to convert to PH just put a decimal point in the middle. So a CF reading of 12 would give you a PH reading of 1.2

My girlfriend stole it from some hydroponics class... i have no papers on it...

and what if there is only on digit... I used a regular ph testing strip and then the stick... at 2 ch the ph read around 7.2...

Its called a Nutrient Salts Meter, by Truncheon.
Ive went to the site.. but I think its for people who know hydroponics... I am new at this.. and RIGHT NOW, just need to know how to get ph... I will worry about the explination later.. lol
Thanks
-Travis

What you have there is an EC meter, used to measure ppm(nutrient levels)in resevoirs or DWC buckets, not a ph meter,CF (conductive Factor)tells you when the the levels are proper, low or high, when to add, most nutrient manufactures have a reccomended level for different growth phases, nice piece of equipment, learn to use it,I dont condone stealing, but if your concience allows, maybe after a successful grow or two you can donate one back to the school (anonymously of course )just consider it a temporary loan, just my patriarchal instincts kicking in(Ward Cleaver)....bonbon
