ok i tried cooking at my house today after school. i used 3 tablespoons of margarine and threw thta into a pan and got it simmering and then boiling and then back to a simmer. i threw a nice joints worth(mabe not enough) or crushed up bud into the butter. it quickly stopped simmering and i couldnt get it back up to simmering. i cooked it for about 25 minutes and was stirring often. but when i poured out the butter there was a coat of fried bud there cooked onto the pan. i scraped it off. im thinking i might have fucking burned it or something. any ideas?

Butter burns very easily. Coating a pan with butter and throwing some bud in is the equivalent of frying (i.e bacon, eggs... you get the idea) your bud. You have to use a double-boiler or the water boiling technique to get a good extraction.

FIRST OF ALL YOU NEED WAY MORE WEED!! A CROCKPOT, AND SOME EUROPEAN BUTTER, BECAUSE IT HAS MORE FAT IN IT, SO IT EXTRACTS THE THC BETTER. I PRETTY MUCH USE ABOUT 10 0Z. OF TRIMMINGS AND LITTLE BUDS THAT I WAS TO LAZY TO TRIM. MAKE SURE IT'S REALLY DRY!! THEN PUT IT IN LIKE A FOOD PROCESSOR OR SOMETHING SIMILAR, TILL IT GETS A LITTLE POWDERY, PUT ALL THAT AND YOUR BUTTER IN THE CROCK POT COOK FOR 10HRS. ON LOW. AFTER IT'S DONE STRAIN IT THROUGH A CHEESE CLOTH. (YOU CAN BUY AT ANY GROCERY STORE) AND THERE YOU GO. AND YOU CAN FREEZE WHAT YOU DON'T USE RIGHT AWAY. I USE THE ZIPLOCK CONTAINERS, THEY WORK REAL WELL, PLUS YOU KNOW HOW MANY CUPS YOU HAVE IN THERE. GOOD LUCK, AND HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!! :p :p :p :p :p
