We ARE in the animal kingdom. Why do humans believe that we are seperate from animals?

Sorry for that. Hows about going back to bed and getting out the other side....

Are we not mammals, thus not falling into the 'animal kingdom'?

Ok so we evolved from apes which are mammals, but then are blood turned to metal and we stopped being mammals and became robots, ooookkk.....I think someone failed biology.
Or do you mean mammals don't fall into the animal kingdom, which is also a little dense. Now I don't expect you to be a genious but atleast know what kind of creature you are.

im not ghostoker but what you just said makes no sense, yes we are mammals but so are many animals, for instance...a dog and a dog is part of the "Animal Kingdom" and also a mammal

what separates an animal from a human is the ability to consider anothers feelings before we act...or so they say....but dont cats and dogs get onto it when ur ill or upset and "comfort u"

think in New Zealand, primates have been granted human rights

The fact of the matter is that humans ARE animals. We just like to think that we're above that.

What seperates humans from animals is that we can express our emotions through art....writing, painting, singing, music, purely for the joy or pain of it.

We're still animals, though. According to Wikipedia, an animal is "multicellular, capable of locomotion and responding to their environment, and feed by consuming other organisms"

I think the main difference between us & animals that aren't human is civilization.

Read Ishmael. It's all about this.

Basically, it says that humans in the "taker" society have tried to remove ourselves from evolution, but it still doesn't mean that we are not beasts.

Read it, now. Now.
