Last time my grow was done at 18/7. Please tell me your estimate as to about when they will flower grown 24/7. I'm using 2 - 400 hps and 80 watts of flourescent. I have two strains of Indica...
I've read in the Grow Bible that growing 24/7 will take them longer to flower but end up with a greater yield.. I'm two months along and they're doing great.
Thanks in advance!

I am confused, because you need to be on 12/12 to force flower.. When you switch to 12/12 they should flower.. how tall are these plants? What strain..? I had plan to flower between 18-24 inches.. If you been vegging for 2 months, they should be plenty tall..Did I understand your question?

Sorry for the confusion
They were started from seed July 1. They are about 3 feet high and some 3 feet wide.
I've read in the Grow Bible that letting your plants grow until they flower is the best way.
No flowering signs yet and don't know when they should go to 12/12...
I had two plants go hermie on me last time so I'm in no rush so they won't get stressed...
Any ideas?

Most suggest a plant is ready and wants to be flowered when nodes begin to alternate. It shows it's matured. I can't imagine after 2.5 months vegging that this hasn't happened a long time ago. Never heard of just letting the plant grow until it flowers on it's own with no light deprevation imposed on it. Unless it's some of the ruderalis strains like Lowryder which is auto flowering and can be grown under 24/0 for it's entire life.

The Cannabis Grow Bible states in bold and enlarged print. "You will get the best out of your plant by waiting until it starts pre-flowering before switching to 12/12."
I'm waitiing for the calyx development to appear before switching to 12/12.
I was just trying to get an idea of how much longer I'd be waiting.
Last year it took the same strain 7 months to begin flowering
before 2 went hermie.
Thanks for your input!

7 months of vegging... WHAT STRAIN IS THIS?.. I may be incorrect, but it seems like you would veg until you reach your desired plant height and then force to flower by 12/12.. at 7 months you would have some monster plants..

Last grow was all Mex Red Hair. It took much longer than normal due to a small colder space last time and poor lights until I got my first 400 watt 5 months into it. I think I did everything backwards, but did end up with about 10 oz. of bud that went to seed. Works great in a Vaporizor! This grow one of the four main plants is from a seed found in some medical herb - It's either Orange Kush or some other strain that was 250 dollars for half an oz.
If it's a female I'm going to name it: Blissful Lady ;)

I guess you do whatever you want Vapor, but 99% of what you read if the question of when to put into flowering is asked in any forum will get you an answer of "When you see alternating notes put it into flower." OR to do so when the plant is at a height that after stretching in flower it isn't taller than your grow area. FWIW

Thanks Marc and SeedKing72 for your input. With the cost of electricity, time, and pleasurable work I just want this grow to become a real harvest. Last time it was strange because the first plant to flower of the five went hermie on me soon after I went to 12/12. I feel like I'm sitting on eggs

Thanks so much for the article, something to think about for next time. It sure sounds tempting to force flower now... Hmmmm, gotta sleep on it ;)
