Yeah, that CD is very good. I listen to it constantly in my car. Favorite would have to be "Red House".

Check into jimi-hendrix.com, they have albums released by the Hendrix family, within the last ten years, also, there they have Dagger Records that has live shows and bootlegs that are uncut. Many of his live performances were edited until His family took over control of all his royalties and started having Jimi's engineer work on his tapes. If it's not Experience Hendrix, LTD., the chances are it isn't as good as it can be. I know you're listening to their remake of that other Hendrix compilation (I had it but forgot the name of it), but that's just studio. His live performances are phenomenal, but I only want people to watch those released by the Hendrix family (Experience Hendrix, LTD.) because those are the ones that show his true self.

If you want a good live Hendrix CD check out Live at Berkley. The CDs sounds is fucking amazing and Jimi and the Band sound perfect. The band is so much fucking better with Billy Cox on bass instead of Noel Redding (sorry man, RIP)

Actually, I think September 18 is the anniversary of his death. It's been 35 years...

I have a lot and my personal favorite is the Blue Wild Angel DVD of the Isle of Wight Concert, one of my favorite concerts, 16 days before he died. That has awesome versions of Machine Gun, Voodoo Child, Red House, new stuff, and he plays Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

The MONO recording of Jimi's second album, Axis Bold as Love, was reissued on vinyl a couple of years ago, but I haven't gotten to picking up a copy. The mono version is slightly different, and is supposed to be the best of them all. I wish I had bought the mono one when it originally came out - but everybody was hooked on "stereo" in the 60's - so the original is rare, and goes for $2000.00 if you can find it!

I think that was the one Jimi brought to a club and lost, one night.
