hey i have a young seedling about 4 days old, about 4 inches. it has the 2 rounded leaves and 2 other little leaves. i have a double 40w shoplite fluorescent and one 23w cfl. both about 2 inches from the seedling. is it enough light for my young plant, or is it even too much for its age.

plant is doing real fine, seems to grow every day. i heard that a seedling this young doesnt grow much in lenght for the first few days because it focuses on growing nice solid roots, is that true.

Yes thats true about the roots. Just wondering , are there rocks on top of that dirt? And also i started my plants with 2 100w CFL's positioned over the tops and two 23w 20" fluerecents on either side , and it worked very well.

By the way if you have the lights positioned correctly and you just have one plant, the tinfoil around the container is kind of unnessary

thanx for the answer. i have only one plant right now, but few seeds germinatin, so i placed the foil already, before the seeds are ready.

hey is it a good idea to use a 14000k blue light for vegetative growth.
