Quick Question about 12/12

Heya Folks!

I was wondering something... when your on 12/12 flowering stage, does it really require 12 hours of full darkness or could a 4' floros ballast ON 24/7 near plants be there without problems?

I am asking this because i'm running 24/7 2 x 4' floros ballast at the opposite of the flowering room to veg my new plants while others will flowers just near under 1000w on 12/12 period..

Can it screw something up somehow?

Im sort of new to this, but as i understand it, the dark periods for 12/12 need to be as dark as possible, even a little ambient light will break down the horemones that build up in the dark and cause the plant to flower. I think u need a seperate cupboard or whatever for the one u r flowering.
