Bush's meeting with Talabani came a day after the Iraqi leader departed from White House talking points and broached the prospect of large-scale withdrawal of U.S. forces from his country. In an interview with the Washington Post on Monday, Talabani said that "at least from 40,000 to 50,000 American troops can be [withdrawn] by the end of this year."

HMMMMMMMM....and what is this? The Industrial Military Complex will be seeing 40,000 to 50,000 of it's force, 1/4 to 1/3 of its troops home for Christmas? How can this be? I thought we were invaders? Don't invaders keep control over an area that they conquered?
Constitution being voted in, fighting elite coming home.....looks like a job well done folks!!! :D

Watch the news today? The hurricane is old news, the ongoing chaos in Iraq is back on the headlines. Before 9/11 there was an al quaida attack somewhere in the world once every 2 years, now we have several a day. A job well done.

Good to see that you believe the killing of vast amounts of civilians every day is preferable. Our responce has made it far worse, better we do nothing. But best of all, we should kill or capture those who attacked us. But Ahab had a whale to chase.

Troops are coming home because the army can understand troop rotations, unlike you. There simply aren't the forces to maintain current troop levels. Perhaps you should enlist.
