I agree. I've always smoked for purely personal reasons. Not to fit in, not to be cool, not to see who I can be better than.. I just use it to relax and enjoy myself.

I mean, who cares if you have the best deal, the biggest bong, the coolest dealer, whatever... it doesn't really matter in the big scheme of things. It's should be all about YOU, you know?

Good point. I think in most cases, everyone smokes the first couple times to be "cool", but after that, it's def about having a good time, relaxing, and connecting with ur friends on a level you normally wouldn't otherwise. For example, a college classmate I bought from one time, who I only kinda knew, offered to let me use his piece cuz I didn't have mine. Those are the kinda things that are truly "cool" when u think about it, ya know?

yea, but as with everything else some peolpe just have to turn it into a popularity and status contest 'oh you suck, you smoke lesser quality then what i smoke i'm better than you blah blah blah' i don't pick my bongs based on what other people would think, i pick the ones that catch my eyes (and my scorpion one cuz me and my dead brother had it once before and i wasn't going to let it slip past me agian) but yea, as far as i'm concerned it doesn't matter how fucked up the trasportation is, as long as it gets you there (i.e. i don't care how shitty the weed is, along as i have a good time and a good buzz)

Often times, that's how a person starts smoking. To be cool or to fit in. I started because I was curious. I knew both my brothers smoke, and I knew my parents used to smoke, so I knew i'de be ok. Like someone said above.

dudes. that shit is true, i mean my bro and i would have never realy hung out if it werent for the cronic,i mean, like i was playin basket ball after smoking a few bowls, and we all desided we needed some water, so we all go in his house (me his room mate and my bro) and we get our water and sit down to see whats on the tv, and lights up a joint and starts to pass it around and then told me the rules, u know shit like becareful when u go home, if u get cought by your mom blame some one else. shit lik that, and he kept me from killin some one.

mostly kids in rehab smoke to be cool....thats what they say as their "reasoning to why the smoked before"....i think its all bullshit you smoke casue you want to...they like to say they never had friends and that was there "ticket" to having friends...

damn you are all right...smokin is just about havin a good time and that's the only reason i do it...because it's fun lol...if someone doens't smoke weed i say hey man that's cool...if a person starts to bash weed and call me a stoner (which i proudly am) then i tell them they don't know the facts and totally just spill the TRUE facts about weed and they end up feeling like ignorant pieces of shit (i love that). I first started because i saw my older bro doing it and decided hell might as well try it out...Like my good friend Ben Harper says, "If you don't light my fire, then don't come around, cuz i'm gonna burn one dooooooown." I tried weed for the first time when I got drunk. I didn't really feel anything, and figured it wasn't that bad. Tried it a couple more random times, nothing. I almost gave up (thank god I didn't =P) until a friend convienced me to try it again. Then I really got blasted beyond all belief....and that was along time ago....and I enjoy the weedage immensly since then :D

EDIT: Weed being a gateway drug lol, yeah right. Alcohol is what made me curious cause I didn't care about anything at the time. Glad I didn't, now I rarely drink except w/ Pot to intensify my high on occasion (I get so drunk/high that I can barely walk).
