If I'm looking at that pic correctly, the reason you haven't had any growth in 8 days is because your plant is too blurry.

You have fungal gnats I would bet. You overwatered your soil watch out the will spread from plant to plant.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. As long as they aren't eating at your leaves or savaging your soil, I wouldn't fret. I see a few little aphid like gray bugs fly around my plant, they don't bother it.
I'm curious, what are you growing in?

Dude sounds to me possibly springtales!..I have these little tiny bugs that when I lift a pot up they run really fast and sometimes jump, they run stop and run again! they are so small it's hard to even see them! you say you see them when you water the soil! thats because these little bugs run to the top to try to avoid be drowned! they say that these bugs are harmless and are actually good for your soil, they only eat the decaying veg matter in your soil! and they eat dead roots and only a few species of sprintales will actually eat living veg tissue! they usually only eat the dying matter not the living roots! these bugs are soil bound only creatures! they don't climb your plants or stay under leaves nor do they eat leaves......no doubt they are gross to have in your grow never the less,it may make you feel like you have sick spoiled soil but according to the studys done on these creatires they actually fert your soil with their own droppings! high in N...............I have read that they usually natuaral to the soil you buy, most if not all store bought soil has these springtales if not even springtale eggs! that are in the soil...you plant your green in there and water a day or 2 later you got your first few springtales lol,who mutilpy real quick!..............................note: springtales don't have wings but can jump sort of like a flea! but they have a launching mechanism under their bodys! they kinda look like termites.........
Solutions?
I havent read any solid solutions to get rid of springtales, and like I said there isn't any real need to get rid of them they are suppose to be good for your soil, but me in general hate the idea of seeing these gross looking things in my grow room ..............
I read to let your soil dry out almost to the point of letting your leaves wilt but not to bad and only give little amounts of water, the springtales will die,or reduce their numbers greatly! but as soon as you begin to keep the soil fairly wet springtales will once again grow quickly in numbers..............My question would be what happens once all the decaying veg matter is all eaten up in the soil?????? do these little creatures then start eating healthy roots just to stay alive????????.................
I too would love to know how to get rid of these bugs I just hate knowing they are there lol........but according too all the research out there they are natuaral to the soil as soil is natuaraL TO BE FOUND IN THE GROUND LOL..

You get it at the hydro store most of them carry it. You mix it with water and put it in the soil.
