i just wanted to hear about everyones best concert that they went to. mine was either the Black Label Society concert when i cought Zakk's pick or the other would be the Children of Bodom/ Fear Factory/ Throwdown/ Lamb of God concert when this kid punched me in the back of the head for no reason (there was no pit). after he hit me i turned and we started a pit. in the middle of it he rammed into my elbow giving him a bloody nose and making him leave the pit. it was great! post your best concert

yeah
there punk ska
but the fuckin followers of the band are nuts

the aquabats like a fun type band, but since it was at the glasshouse a shitload of punks were there... because there was like 3 bands, one punk band was playing before them.

ahhh it was pretty crazy, but i bet a COB concert in 10x as crazy

I've been to five Rush concerts. Bob Dylan, Blind Melon, Kiss, Poison, oh, geez, I'm not gonna name them all, but let's just say, I even went to the Destiny's Child concert. No show blew my mind like Rush did, first with their laser show, then with the out-of-this-earth drum solo.

why is it weird that people were moshing at a hothothat gig?

were they not just dancing? i'm sure i'd have to dance if they played bandages.

I saw the libertines a couple of yrs ago, before pete was a junky, that was amazing.

I've been to lots of amazing gigs.

My Top 5 Concerts

5. Roger Waters-Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking Tour (1983? )- Waters' first album and tour after Pink Floyd broke up. The first 1/2 of the show was all old Floyd stuff and the 2nd 1/2 was the entire Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking album. Along with the music Roger had a big stage show simlilar to the old Floyd concerts. This was my first real concert without my parents, I was 13.

4. Grateful Dead at Alpine Valley Wisconsin (1987)- A great Dead show at a great venue. Some farmer had decided to make a bit of extra cash and turn his cornfield into a campground for Deadheads. The campground turned into a little self supporting Dead Head village complete with food and all the drugs you could ever want. This was out home for the weekend. We took some really nice acid the first night and after the show someone treated everybody in the Dead Head village to a firework show. Ahh, the memories.

3. Santana at the Fillmore West(1998)- Just before the Supernatural disc came out Santana played at the Fillmore West in San Francisco. The Fillmore is a great little place that can't hold much more than 1500 people or so and classic rock fans will know that this is one of the places where bands like the Grateful Dead, Santana, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Jefferson Airplane, etc all started back in the '60's. It was general admission and we got there early enough that we were able to walk right up to the stage. For the entire show we were about 5 feet away from Carlos.

2. Grateful Dead(1993) Chinese New Year concert. Chinese New Year concerts were always fun because they'd have a parade, lion dance, and some crazy opening act. We had eaten about 4 grams of shrooms each and were just starting to peak when the opening act came on. It was these Chinese acrobats from Beijing and they did some amazing things. This one tiny little girl did a trick where she was like 20 feet up on a unicycle and would kick bowls up onto her head. She kept adding more and more until she had this big stack on her head and 5 or six on her foot. When she kicked them all up for the finally the crowd went absolutely apeshit. I remember I had tears running down my face because I was crying from sheer joy (shroooms ;) )

and the #1 concert I have ever been to

1. Pink Floyd (1994?)- Without a doubt the most incredible concert I ever went to. To get tickets we had waited in line for almost 20 hrs. The waiting paid off though as we were in the 13th row, dead center. The sound, the laser show, pyrotechnics, and a giant pig with glowing eyes that flew up from behind the stage during One Of These Days. Just when we thought it couldn't get any better they played the entire Dark Side of the Moon from beginning to end. Damn, what I wouldn't give to see them again.

Ramstein are the best live act I've seen. They use these masks to breath fire about 30 feet and they threw a little dingey into the crowd and jumped in. The guitarist from one of the supporting bands (American Headcharge) also did a naked stage dive.

oh yeah and red hot chilli peppers...

They closed an all-day concert in Saratoga Springs, New York, at a place called SPAC. They rocked, but I can't remember the name of it. It was a touring gig with a bunch of bands.

Just remembered. LOLLAPALOOZA.

Saw it in it's second year, I don't know how long they kept it up.

I think the best pit I have been in would be the Cradle of Filth gig in Wolverhampton a few years back, people flying everywhere.
But the best gig I ever went to with the best atmosphere was deffo Nightwish, all of em hehe.
