Fish tank grow?

i was wondering i dont have much space to grow around or up. now i have heard that if you grow in a shallow wide vessel the plant will not grow as high but will grow around more. so i was wondering if i could use a fish tank (15gal or 10gal) to grow in. also would it be ok to use 2 maybe 3 cfl for the entire grow. i cant afford much and dont have much space for big lights

this will be my first real grow. my other attempted grow went south after a trip to cancun and no one to water.

dont use a fish tank glass breaks man,spend 5-10 bucks on a rubber tub drill some holes,set it on top of the lid.more lights is better but you can grow with 3 150w cfl,good luck

how do u drain water from a fish tank ? what do u do poke holes in the bottom of it?lol come on buddy a fucking 5 gallon pale will work fine u can find 1.
