OKay, I got this lamp. It has glass incasing where 3 little luight bulbs set in. I put my little cup witht he sprout in it. I put it ina closet and covered it up with a blanket. WIll my sprout grow? My cup witht he sprout is in side the glass with the lgiht. So i I miagine it will eb warm but I just dont know. Help?

Okay, what kind of lights are in this lamp? If they are just regular light bulbs, you're wasting your time. These are the only bulbs you can use:
CFL's/Floro
Mh
Hps
and of course the sunlight
Using any other bulb will cause more heat than growth, as they are not the correct light spectrum for growing.

oh poop...I gotta go get some sort of lighting setup then. GRARGH. I waan get like 2 little black light holers and just put flourecents in there instead and use those. Would that work??

Can I get wattages for these that I need through out the whole growing process?

I coudl really use a good guide on great lghtas to use. I just foudn one of those bulbs that goes in a lamp but its all curly (lifetime light?) It LOOKS fluorescent but im just not sure. IfI could get a response id be happy (and growing)

If it's a curly kind of bulb, then you most likely got a CFL bulb, which can be used with great results.

Go to the top of the page, to the FAQ's, look under lighting, and that will tell you about everything you need to know about lights.
To get anything worthwhile, you need a minimum of 50W per.sq.ft of lighting. So, figure out your space, and do the math. Good luck :cool:
