They had this at another site I used to post at. It was all messed up you would be like 'the movie was rated R' and then it would change it to say 'the movie was rated are' or 'I live in USA' to 'I live in YouSA'

LOL, that seems logical.

I don't know how they ever got that idea. I thought I was the first one to come up with such a thing!

Honestly, though, your examples, from that site, are hilarious but I guess we have computer programs posting on these message boards because I see the same kind of mistakes.

we have spell check at the marihemp site but apparently this message board program doesn't offer that feature...or at least i haven't seen it on the tool bars. it's not all that great anyway as all it does it highlight possible misspelled words w/o giving correct alternates the way ms word does. for more important posts where i want to appear eduacted i type out the message then copy and paste it onto either ms word or use the email spell check before entering it onto the message board. beyond that, it doesn't matter much to most of us. and cann com doesn't take points away for bad spelling...

I debated on it. Corrector sounds like a dinosaur. Correcter sounds like a body part. So, I threw up the second one.

Cannabis.com

If Cannibus.com (cannabis.com) had an automatic grammar and spelling correcter. (corrector) ...
When folks type-in various typos of cannabis.com into their web browser, such as cannibus.com, they'll still end up at cannabis.com automatically!

For those really having trouble typing, http://cann.com works too.

Automatic spell correction/suggestions like in Word would be helpful, but it's not a standard component of the VBulletin software at this time - someday it likely will be.

Sorry about the spelling of Cannabis, I got that from a book I read about this space-age guy who re-discovers pot and he'd keep spelling it like that.
And great, thanks for pointing out two errors in one sentence!!!

Or for people who really can't get the hang of typing out the URL for this site, you can use Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/), bookmark this page and then set up a keyword (for example; cann) so all you have to do to get to this site is click in the address bar in an open browser, type the keyword (cann) and hit enter, which will take you straight here. You can even make the keyword just a single letter if you still have problems. lol :)

Oh and....

Dude, honestly and though should be seperated by a comma as well as some of the other stuff in there. You're just fucking with my buzz.

Take the commas out, dumbass, and you'll find a legitimate sentence.

heres my opinion but i havent read the whole thread so my guess is sum1 already shared this with you all but here it is: If you dont know how to spell well enough for sum1 to understand you then grade school is the right place for you. Also, you can use microsoft word.

This isn't english 101...some people write in a sort of e-shorthand, calling people moronic is bullshit!

The forums on my site can auto correct things, but as opposed to turning USA into youSA, you can set them to auto correct whole words only, so U would become you, but USA would be left alone, as the U is part of the "word".

There is a program you can download called iespell (if you have internet explorer). You type stuff, and then right click and choose check spelling, it works great.
