peyote whos tried them?

has any one tried peyote? ive been thinking of taking a trip to southwestern us to find some (cus there impossible to find around where i live) but any thoughts on them? i did a little reading bout em on erowid but i still wantta hear bout some experiences b4 i try em.

Good luck finding any even in the southwest, only way I've got to try it is San Pedro, another cactus (legal) which contains mescaline. A lot of nasty cactus to choke down, but well worth it. Visuals are intense, hard to explain, but you actually see things, not just movement.

My friend tried peyote before, he and his friend were friends with some guy for like 5 years who was growing it just so they could finally try some. They said its intense and strangest thing ever, visuals you see like all kind of weird stuff..

Most of the trips i've heard about usually involve one of three things.
- Waking up naked with no clue
- Waking up hurt/injured with no clue
- Finding out you just ate your dogs tail.

A piece about the lenght and diameter of your forearm would probably be about right for a first time, but potency varies. Erowid.org has lots of info on dose and preperation. It's sold on the net, if you can't find it locally.

Right, actually eating a big chunk of cactus isn't probably the best option. If you can do an acid/base you can extract reasonably pure mescaline. 2c-e also is pretty similar, IMO

I watched a tape of a friend in the back of a Jeep..but they were smoking it out of a bowl..it was ground up like shake at tha bottom of a sack. But anyway Todd packs tha bowl to tha brim..and from what they said it only takes a lil bit, but he hands tha bowl to Jamie and he burns it like it was just some chronic, he holds it in as long as he can...and as soon as he blows out tha smoke...he just went..."heh" ..and sat there looking stupified. He tried to stand up at least 5 times in tha back of tha jeep..he said he couldnt figure out why he couldnt stand up.
Then he'd burst out laughing, he'd try and say something but wasnt making any sence b/c he was tore up. then he'd just stop and get all serious. At one point in tha movie you see him begin to reach for a pack of cigs beside him on tha seat..he gets his hand halfway down and just stops. and you can fuckin see it in his face that he has no fuckin clue what tha fuck is goin on...much less what tha fuck hes doin.. And tha laughter would start all over again. His hairs blowin in his face but he cant figure out what it is..
Everybody that was on tha video tape said they all experienced a feeling of being pulled down into your seat.
Extreme sweating close to when you start coming down.
Extreme hallucinations..Jamie said that at one point he thought he was in an institution.
Being extremely giggly..
Not remembering alot of the trip..
Actually I think Jamie was tha only one that remembered that bit about tha institution..

That is a textbook Salvia experience. Mescaline is something you ingest orally or something... not smoked. Plus, I don't even think the case described here seems at all like a Mescaline trip; it's for sure Salvia he was smoking, UpInSmoke.

Solution: When do something heavy like Salvia or DMT and 5-MeO-DMT, try and talk about your trip in as best detail as you can with your sitter or whom ever you are with during the trip. Then you can least, if not remember for sometime, the details of the trip; you can better understand WTF just happened. That helps. Yeah...

Oh..okay. Well then whoever sold my friend that shit must have told them it was peyote. Cuz the whole time I was there they would refer to it as peyote, and ya know being this the first time I've even heard of tha stuff...I just figured they knew what they were talking about. I'm native american and I know a thing or two about it. For one it's not a ceremonial drink. It's what they used to smoke outa the peace pipe man. Of course they did use it in tea's and what not but the popular way was to smoke it.
