If everybody put the same amount of care into growing plants for food no 1 would ever be hungry am i wrong?

Well fuck Carl...I can only feed about 2 people with my grow space...

And no matter how much we grew of food and fruits and veggies...there would always be a War Lord who will hijack and confiscate the fruits of our labors to feed his own army and no one else. Then they can go hack up a few hundred thousand more natives so they have even more food to themselves.

Why would I want to feed that army?

I think I'd rather grow some herbals of my own so I can hide and pretend the problem doesn't exist at all :)
