Which is more difficult to give up, a daily bake or a daily cup of joe?

A daily bake, especially if its at night so you go to sleep and bit baked. I just drink coffee when ever I feel like it though so I guess I don't really know what cafine addiction is like. But it's pretty shit being all grumpy and sleepless over missing abit of smoke :(.

Yeah same here, I don't remember how to fall asleep without the assistance of weed.

Caffeine is way more difficult to give up because you actually do get physically addicted to it. I'm a coffee fiend and drink about two pots of coffee a day. You'd think I'd be wired off all the caffeine but it no longer has any effect on me. It does fuck with my blood pressure though so the doc says I should quit but I can't. I'm not a weak minded person either. I smoked a pack of cigs a day for more than 15 years but managed to quit them 6 years ago. I also stopped smoking weed for about 5 years after many years of daily use. But the coffee, as much as I've tried I can't give it up.

I know coffee is very physically addictive, but I doubt its very mentally addictive, meaning that once your system returns to normal you won't have random cravings for it the rest of your life.
All I've heard is that if you have a bad caffeine habit and you try to quit cold turkey, you will fail. I heard one story of a guy that ended up in a hospital because he tried. Gradually is the key :)

The only time I ever gave up caffiene was in jail, when I had no choice. Wanted a cigarette so bad both weed and coffee were way down the list.

just keep in mind that caffein blocks calcium absorbtion. also, coffee in excess can cause that disease (forget the name) where your bones get really brittle and put you in a crap load of pain. it's not osteoperosis I know.
I'd recommend just having your regular amount of coffee, but count how many cups you have in one day. then, quit by cutting out 1 cup every day.
