bout 5 last night i ate 100 seeds of ji mson weed, and a half hour later 50 more,after that part i realf dont remember that much, i woke up in someones elses house, my bike was found 2 miles away from my shoes,,i had riden my bike without my shoes, i get back to my house after many attempts to find my house and emmiadelty imy parents suspect something is up, they said i was talking 2 the air but i was taklin g to 5 of my freinds who mysteriously dissarppered,i saw cats jumping into a light post with angry faces about , my patrents said i was walking aroung the house and outside buck naked,////

Datura isn't really something to reccomend someone. It's some powerful shit, I read about heaps of peoples experiences and yours is almost identicle to what they say in most of their reports. Your lucky you only fell and didn't harm yourself I read a report saying someone tripped up or something and smasher her eye on the corner of the T.V.

People have died from Datura you have to read up on it before you try it almost every report at the end says "DON'T TRY THIS". They say it for a reason.

It's legal for some reason but just because it is don't mean it safe.

Maybe you judged your dose right but hardley anyone reports having a good time with it.

Jimson isn't something for the faint of heart. If you think LSD, or Ex is intense, Datura (j-weed) is about 100x more intense. There was a case here awhile back of some teens who decided to try that. The one buddy ended up killing his other buddy while on the drug, but he doesn't remeber doing it. Although waking up with bloody clothes is a pretty good clue.

I also read another story of a guy who took it, went out in his backyard, came back an hour later with his tounge in his hands. He had cut it off with a pair of pinching shears, while sitting in his boxers in the backyard. He doesn't remeber doing it.

Not safe shit to do. I'd do herion before I touched j-weed. If you read around, most of the stories aren't too pleasant. It sounds nothing more than a deliriant mindfuck. Just because something is legal doesn't mean it's safe.

One of my ex-gf's from about, 2yrs ago, her mom worked with disabled people. She introduced me to this one fellow who had taken LSD, only once in his life. After taking it, he was somewhat, "stuck", in this LSD state of mind. His mind had snapped pretty much and his brain was stuck in this state of mind. He now spends his days talking to imaginary people on the couch. I've seen it. We walked in and he was having a full out conversation with no one, but he thought someone was there.

I've heard plenty of people thinking they've gone to another universe, reality, dimension, spirit world etc. just remember, there's no limit to what the mind can believe or experience, and there's no limit to how real and sure it can seem. but in the end, it's all just chemicals fucking with your brain. From what I can see, the effects of Datura are literally near-death deliruim, brought about by raising your body temperature and dehydrating you to dangerous levels. Basically, it almost kills you and you trip out because of it. Don't touch that shit.

GHoSToKeR you are partially right. Although I havn't read up on it I doubt that by raising blood preasure and dehydrating you will cause you to have the same effects as Datura.

I think the main ingreadient in Datura is tropanes as it says used in high doses it causes: disorientation, confusion, hallucinations, delusions,
panic, etc.

Some more info about it: "The interesting thing about this class of hallucinogens is
that the person taking the drug is often absolutely convinced that the
hallucinations/delusions are, in every sense, real; furthermore, he or she
may attempt to interact with them (and perceive normal response). This
can range from amusing to dangerous. There is often a severe distortion
of position/kinetic sense leading many to say they feel like they were
in free-fall or flying."

A reason why it is hard to judge doses: "The really dangerous thing about tropanes is that they have rather strong
peripheral effects in comparison to their psychoactive effects. The
lethal dose / effective dose ratio is dangerously low; furthermore, the
strength of tropanes in wild plants ranges considerably. The Datura
genus may contain alkaloids which have neurotoxic effects, in addition to
the tropane alkaloids."

Sounds to me it is the tropanes causing you to trip not the Body temperature + dehydration, although it is not something you want to put your body through.

I spent ages reading through those yesterday, and like you said, most people make sure to warn others off trying it... It doesn't sound like something anybody should try, no matter how much they're in to experimenting.

I can understand why the guy proberbly did it. Because you get extreme drymouth and in his delerious state he would of thought the only way to stop it was to cut it off, although he can't remember doing it i'm sure at the time he was thinking that.

I've read all of the experiences in erowid about Datura. Let me save everyone some time by checking to see the majority of people who have tryed it opinions, around 95% of people in there strongly reccomend NOT trying it.

I would say that out of all the drugs I know Datura is the one I have the most info about..

Brugmansia related to Datura is similair in alot of ways, except that Brugmansia (aka Angels Trumpet, Tree Datura) is a tree with (I think) larger flowers then Datura.

"Most parts of the plant contain atropine, scopolamine and hyoscyamine. It has been used as an admixture plant in ayahuasca brews as well as in poisons and medicines in S. America."

ive done datura a few times...once was a higher dosage. i dont have any idea what happened though! uh oh. :D
supposedly its so powerful that you can absorb the chemicals directly through your skin. i used to want to make a skin lotion that makes you trip out. heh
datura can be found growing throughout the united states. if you know what youre looking for, it wont take long to find it. and go insane.
