when do males drop pollen?

i was just wondering about how long it takes a male to drop pollen its been in 12/12 for 3 weeks now and it looks like the balls are statin to crack open. any wisdom would be nice thanks peeps....

as soon at the balls open the pollen begins to fall, the longer they're open.. the more the pollen falls.
