I'd think:
1. He's been secretly replaced by an alien or robot.
or
2. they removed a tumor from his brain and he suddenly sees things the way
he should.
or
3. if nothing suddenly changed him, I'd give him a bit more leniency in my views of him, however he'd still have plenty to answer for.
lol, on a side note, when I read "if he legalized pot would you forgive him", I thought you meant "would you forgive him for legalizing pot" which seemed like a no brainer. :D

Contrary to popular belief, fascism doesn't mean "a really mean government that does bad things and kills lots of people". Fascism is a political ideology. The founder of fascism himself, Benito Mussolini, defined it as "the melding of state and corporate power", which is of course exactly what is going on in this country.

I said openly contemptuous of freedom. Our leaders are just as willing as the Nazis to trample all over people's freedom, they just don't do it as openly as the Nazis did. Somehow people don't think fascism will ever come until the government is spewing out racist propaganda, but some people (including you) cannot see the degradation of civil liberties that is going on all around us. Fascism (in Italian, fascismo), capitalized, was the authoritarian political movement which ruled Italy from 1922 to 1943 under the leadership of Benito Mussolini. Similar political movements spread across Europe between World War One and World War Two and took several forms such as Nazism and Clerical fascism. Neofascism is generally used to describe post-WWII movements seen to have fascist attributes.
Fascism was typified by attempts to impose state control over all aspects of life. The definitional debates and arguments by academics over the nature of fascism, however, fill entire bookshelves. There are clearly elements of both left and right ideology in the development of Fascism.
Modern colloquial usage of the word has extended the definition of the terms fascism and neofascism to refer to any totalitarian worldview regardless of its political ideology, although scholars frown on this. Sometimes the word "fascist" is used as a hyperbolic political epithet.
The word "fascism" comes from fascio (plural: fasci), which may mean "bundle," as in a political or militant group or a nation, but also from the fasces (rods bundled around an axe), which were an ancient Roman symbol of the authority of magistrates. The Italian 'Fascisti' were also known as Black Shirts for their style of uniform incorporating a black shirt (See Also: political colour).
Italian Fascism is often considered to be a proper noun and thus denoted by a capital letter "F", whereas generic fascism is conventionally represented with the lower-case character "f". Italian Fascism is considered a model for other forms of fascism, yet there is disagreement over which aspects of structure, tactics, culture, and ideology represent a "fascist minimum" or core.

Which is exactly why I'm an anarchist. But of all government types, I think fascism is the worst since it deprives people of freedom and civil liberties the most, and it's even more deplorable that people don't even understand what fascism is. Bush is not trying to wipe out terrorists, that is just a cover he is using to go into oil-rich places. Tell me, if he were really concerned with terrorists, why doesn't he do anything about the terrorist military dictatorships in sub-Saharan Africa or Southeast Asia? Well, he doesn't give a shit about sub-Saharan Africa or Southeast Asia because they have no real resources to give him. At least not anything comparable to Iraq or Afghanistan. If you think his motive is really terrorism, you're deluding yourself.
And yes, I can compare this fascist régime to other fascist régimes. It's not just Hitler's Germany that was fascist; it was Mussolini's Italy, Franco's Spain, Suharto's Indonesia, etc. I urge you to look into these governments and what they had in common, and what they have in common with the direction our society is heading in under the neoconservatives. (http://www.oldamericancentury.org/14pts.htm) Fascism doesn't mean you kill 6 million people. Whether or not your government aims to commit genocide is not the determining factor on whether it is fascist or not.

News flash: Devastating hurricanes, typhoons, cyclones and monsoons have been around for millions of years, even back when pot was legal. "God" isn't "warning" anybody about anything with any hurricanes. You'd think if he really wanted to warn people about something, he would do it in a way that's not really ambiguous what it means. Some conservatives took the hurricane to mean we have to get rid of homosexuals, and you're taking it to mean we need to get rid of drug laws. Why can't God spell out something in the clouds? That would make it a lot clearer what his warning is about, and people might feel, I don't know, warned.

why the fantasy? FUCK BUSH. He is the enemy to any weed smoker with a brain.
Bush has not voiced any support for decriminalizing the possession of marijuana for personal use and crime statistics from the height of his administration demonstrate his lack of tolerance. According to NORML, the 2002 FBI Uniformed Crimes Report shows that 697,082 people were arrested for drug violations in 2002, accounting for almost half of the total drug arrests in the entire nation. Of those 697,082 people, 88% of them were arrested for possession-only offences while the remaining arrests where charged with ??sale/manufacture,? while even included those who were producing it privately for medicinal uses. Under Bush??s presidency, ??Operations Pipe Dreams? and ??Operation Headhunter? have both been enacted by the Drug Enforcement Agency, spearheaded by Attorney General John Ashcroft. Both target businesses that sell or distribute glass pipes, or other smoking paraphernalia. In 2003 alone, 50 individuals, including actor Tommy Chong, were indicted, resulting in 3 years in prison and/or a $250,000 fine, depending upon the indictment

If Bush legalised weed then it would be a good excuse to delegalise weed for the next guy who gets into power. People should be able to vote for a president who is more philosophical instead of the power hungry halfwits you have to choose from.

bush was responsible for 9/11, be it he had a hand in it or just allowed it to happen. the usa is the most secure country in the world, attacks only come from the inside. a lot of blokes laugh and mock conspiracy theorists, but the conspiracy theorist theories are true no matter how ridiculous you find them to be. everything doesnt have to happen all at once, it happens a lil bit a time. pretty soon paper money is going to be gone, just look at all the commercials on how you dont need money anymore, all you gotta do is use your debit, bank, etc... card. so keep an open mind.

I haven't read all the thoughts and posts. But Bush must be severed from office. He cannot replace the lives and the rights and the FREEDOMS he's stripped away from the people now. If he was to legalize marijuana it would be for all the wrong reasons. It would be because he's trying to get us on his side. And if we were to smoke that new legal BUSHREEFER, we'd be no different from him. But I am legalizing it for the reason that it is a natuaral plant and should be treated with the utmost respect.

I looked it up and got a 1964 movie with Gregory Peck.
Behold A Pale Horse is a book by William Milton Cooper (ISBN 0929385225)
Written after Cooper was a member of the US Naval Intelligence Briefing Team of the Commander in Chief of the United States Pacific Fleet, the book details many of Cooper's claims about the alleged influence of UFOs on US government agencies, the assassination of President John F. Kennedy , the Apollo hoaxes and other topics.
Some readers have found Behold a Pale Horse a convincing and persuasive book, while others have doubted many of Cooper's claims.
One prediction the book makes is that the Cassini-Huygens satellite, a controversy at the time of its launch due to its plutonium payload, was intended to ignite Jupiter, creating the star Lucifer.

i cannot forgive the war in iraq untill it is over, i cannot then forgive any additional problems that occur as a result of the war, untill they are fixed.
i cannot forgive him for destroying social security, not untill he restores it.
i cannot forgive his wrongs, for a single right that has nothing to do with his past wrong doings.

it isn't up to bush, if it was it wouldn't matter, coz it would never happen, and nothing he could do would ever come close to making up for his terrible (in)actions
it's really sad that so many proud pot smokers are so closed minded.. .see some of the racist posts in this thread alone, not to mention the rest of these forums
all the many aspects of our diversity is part of what makes the world such a great place, and conversely, intolerance of others is responsible for some of the most vile acts in human history (even worse stuff than bush has done).... you'd think after 7000 years of written history that we all would know better...

No way. As much as I would agree with legalizing pot and would enjoy the benefits of having pot legal... I would never put my own little pleasures ahead of the fact that thousands of innocent Iraqi and afghani civilians have been murdered over lies.
Bush is an international war criminal in my opinion and nothing as trivial as making pot legal could ever make up for the wide spread suffering he has cased for so many people all over the world!

that must go for you too then, saying the president "owns" the country is completely ignorant. there is no ownership. all of you have this dillusion that Bush is this almight ruler over our government but fail to realize that we do have a congress. ive only skimmed this thread and have seen the words "bush led us" (referring to Iraq) more than i can count. the Iraq invasion took a vote from congress. i bet you all voted for john kerry right? guess how he voted...yes. is time to jump off the hate-bush bandwagon and start looking into our nations issue with your own minds and not regurgitate the crap you read on indy websites and michael moore movies.
btw im a liberal democrat so dont play the 'youre an ignorant redneck' game.

Well at least you are some what intelligent in that you are right of course. Saying Bush ??owns? America is just about one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. He is an elected official and an employee of the citizens of America. Not to mention there are term limits on his position to ensure that he can not ??own?, ??control? or ??work for? our country more than 8 years.
As for your belligerent criticism of John Kerry and how he voted that is such an old argument and I??m sure you actually understand the flaw in it even though you are not saying it. I am a liberal Democrat. I did vote for Kerry. I also was a register republican in 2000 just so I could vote for McCain over Bush!! I then voted for Gore over Bush. I knew back in 2000 that Bush was the biggest idiot and was SHOCKED, truly SHOCKED that you idiot republicans would let him win the primary over McCain!!
What you are leaving out is the fact that Kerry and all the other members of the house and senate were under the impressions from the same lies the rest of our country was. I too supported invading Iraq back then, I really believed that Saddam was linked to the attacks of 9-11 and had WMDs. But like Kerry I have since learned that these were lies and fabrications built up by the Bush admin and the CIA. There are no excuses for this. He not only lied to us but the rest of the world!
The argument that bush and ESPECIALLY Cheney had no more info about the validity of these claims back then is preposterous and you know it! Bush and Crook Cheney are liars and cheats and should be impeached and thrown in jail for lying to our country and the world and for putting out troops in a quagmire situation!
