hello everyone! i just got some pictures of my first grow sorted so i thought
id share them with you all, its going quite well up to now and "touch wood" it should go fine till the end, what do you think. Your input would be much appreciated. There are 2 400w hps hovering over them and they are in a nft 424 system, thay are being fed with bio-nova nutrients but id rather be on canna aqua. oh and they have been in 12/12 for 16 days.
Thanx

looks good.. Nice string set up... SMART!!
Can we see a wider shot?
It looks like you have 2 400watt lamps at an angel pointed at 4 plants?
True? IF so, you should get some really nice BUDS... really NICE!!
I have not seen anything set up quite that way...

thanks for the input guys, hopefully it should turn out ok. as thos is my first attempt ive been trying to let the plants display thier natural characteristics so i can choose one of each strain to regenerate and take cuttings which will become mothers to put in my little room full of flourecents ive got a 220w four tube flo. system from 3 counties hydro which should do ok for a couple of mothers and some clones etc. There are actually only three plants there at the moment because i started with 6 seeds (3 cali orange bud and 3 K2) and after sexing i turned out with 2 cali and 1 K2, im hoping the K2 it a good phenotype as i am hoping to regenerate it as i was saying earlier, ill post some mor pics soon if i can get round to it, they've got a lot bigger in 3 days!
Take care,
Fallen :D

fallen - something you should becareful of.
putting hps bulbs at an angle is not recommended by light companies. The gas in the bulb will heat up unevenly and you can get hotspots which can lead to bulb leakage or breakage.
It is very very dangerous to put metal halide bulbs at an angle. They will burn unevenly and start to omit bad UV LIGHT which is BAD for you and your plant.
I have read this a few times and I consulted the GURU last night and SHE confirmed my suspitions. Keep a close eye on your lights..

thanks for the advise knome, they will only be like that for this cycle as the plants are too tall to light from above, a pain i know but its all i can do for now untill i start the next lot and KEEP THEM SMALL! Thanks very much for your concern i will bear it in mind, is there any telltale signs that they are being damaged, if so what are they. at the end of the day if one or both go, ill just have to replace the bulbs. Didnt growers in the past hang bulbs vertically before they found it was more beneficial/economical to hang horisontally?
