drug and bomb dogs

are bomb sniffing dogs trained to sniff out other substances such as say, weed, or are they just trained for bomb detection?

I'm pretty sure they would only be able to smell gun powder and things like that, the bomb squad problaby has there own K-9 unit.

no, but schools often have random drug searches! So they will have drug dogs too.

^^^my school did that one day and i had a eigth on me and the people who search your locker were like 5 lockers away from mine so i had no time to eat it so i sprayed my axe in the cap of the can for like a minute straight put my weed in there closed it and threw it under a bunch of sweaty gym clothes at the bottom of my locker. in some sort of a miracle they didnt not check the can nor did the dog smell it, but since telling this storey a lot of people said that the dogs can still smell through deoderent and dirty clothes so i guess i got lucky

yeah. some kid at our school had a ziplock bag full of it (i was thinking about dimes lol) which he stuffed in one of those dryer wrap things, wraped it in toilet paper, sprayed axe on it. put in in a ziplock, sprayed that with axe, put in a backpack fullof gym close, and sprayed his locker with axe. the dog found it in a hearbeat. Turns out that kid was a drug LORD. He's been put away for a long time. Does him good that dumb ass. The "random" search was actually printed in the newspaper, AND send home as a flyer. Could people get any dumber? I'm amazed.

I am friends with 2 local K9 units (good friends to have) and they have 2 dogs b/c each dog is trained for dif things usually it is one for drugs/search and rescue/ attack..and the other is bomb/ and tactical attack...idk if it is like that everywhere but here it is.

I once got sniffed by a drugs dog & I had some weed in my pocket, it didn't smell a fucking thing.

yea my bro was telling me about a time he brought a quarter of soapbar into a prison for his friend who was in there (he was just visintg) and he was on speed and was all fucked up and a dog jumped on him and started sniffing under his belt (where it was) and he just told the guard that he prolly smells his dog at home (lame excuse i know) and the guy believed him! he went into this lil cafeteria thing where u can meet with the people and buy crisps and stuff so he bought a bag and took out the shit from his pants and put it in the bag and gave the rest to his friend who took the bag and reached in for a crisp and took out the soapbar and put it in his mouth and went back inside and they managed pulled it off...so it pretty much depends on how lucky u are lol

If you want to fuck with a drug dog, spray some bong water all over the place. It should make it go crazy, and start giving a bunch of false positives. I saw on 60 minutes, a lawyer got this couple with a trailer full of weed off, because the drug dog was always wrong. If you find your ass in jail because of a drug dog remember that shit. Drug dogs are wrong plenty of times.

I was on BART with my pipe and a bit of weed. This was the day after the subway bombings in London, so a cop was going through the train with a bomb-sniffing dog. It went right past my backpack without even hesitating, so I agree that they're trained for different things
