What is Shotgunning?

people need to stop using the word shotgun for everything. shotgun= front of car, a type of pipe, inhaling and then blowing the smoke in sum1 else's mouth, putting the lit end of a joint in your mouth and blowing a ton of smoke into another persons mouth. it is getting confusing.

Oh, I've never heard it called shotgunning, I've only ever heard it called a "blow-back". Guess its more common a US slang than UK one.

I heard the term shotgun for smoking when you take hits and breathe it into a balloon and then keep breathing in an out for a minute... doesnt sound to great in my mind.

shotgun was invented in viet nam war,we use to put the barrel of a shotgun up to our mouths and our bunkie would blow smoke through the shotgun barell into our mouth,hence(shotgun)that is where it was invented.then it went on from there as to just blowing smoke from a joint to another smokers mouth without the shotgun barrell.

I always called blowing smoke into someonelse mouth a blowback, and a shotgun was when we made a whole at the end of a plastic bottle stuck the joint in it, then burn a carb into the top of the bottle. The bottle fills with smoke (when toking) and when you release the carb and simoutaenouisly(spelling) take out the joint feels like you just shot yourself with a shotgun, a few of 'em gets you soaring..

We take hat charges. use a fitted baseball cap (one without a hole in the back) and stick it up to your face with the bill pointed up. your buddy puts the burning end into his/her mouth and blows smoke into the hat. if you do it right you wont waste any smoke. and damnit it fucks you up!

Someone gave me a shotty through a copper pipe once. It's good when you have 1 joint and 4 friends... Keep passing it around. Shotty is basically blowing smoke into someone else's mouth... different smokers have different techs. I take three inhales, fill my mouth, and put the cherry in my mouth and blow. Made a chainsmoker throw up and a chick fall on her ass when she tried standing.

Me and my buddies do shotties the cherry in mouth and blow through hands style. We also do hand shotties too. This is when you take the roach and put it between your fingers, making a seal...then someone puts there mouth to the opening in your hands between the thumb and index finger. :)
