Online Games...

Hmmm.. I don't play video games that often. Well, not at all really. So, what exactly is the definition of an 'online game'? You guys talk about games like Everquest and WoW (whatever that means...), but I don't know what they are. Are they console games, PC games, games on a website, or what? Explain, explain.

I play America's Army which is free by the way. Great game and really fun. www.americasarmy.com has the game download as I said before free of charge. Check it out but be warned it is one hell of a download. 750megs I think.

Once you start playing online games, you will never go back to singleplayer (shudders in rememberance) Well maybe not that extreme, but online games are so much better. The competition of playing against other people just enhances the game. WoW and Everquest are MMORPG's: Massively multiplayer online role playing games. I enjoy these games, some people don't. The only games i play are Socom 2 and everquest for ps2 it's hard to balance them out because their so addicting. Have fun.

I used to play a game called "Ultima Online"

It was a really great game and I spent hours playing
Problem is it did cost money about $15/month
I dont play anymore good thing too because when i did have it thats all I did in my free time was play.

u have to buy the game at a store. cant illegaly pirate it, b/c everyone has to have a different CDkey.

Everquest, and most online RPG's which are "massively multiplayer (thousands at once), cost from $10-$15 a month.

Online shooting games, or any that do not require the company to keep up servers, are just buy the game and your good to go.

Get battlefield 2 if ya like shooting or flying! it roxx.

well first off. u must learn the rules of pwnage. if, at any point, you see someone die, kill someone, get shot at and live, or any kind of fuckup. or if u die urself or kill anyone. buttrape must take place immediately, and say pwnt.

Good games that rock:

First-person shooters:

Half-Life 2 (comes with counterstrike which is fun)

Battlefield 2 (the best.... simulates modern combat on a large battlefield)

Unreal Tournament (if ya like jumping around like a crazyfuk)

RPGs:

guild wars. thats it the rest are kind of lame

real time strategy (overhead view, you as the commander, commanding troops and economies)

Warcraft 3

starcraft (the best one, but very old and u would get pwnt by all the hardcore players)

Command and Conquer line is all golden.

Hey ghost go buy half life the original no mods attached (since they are free anyway why pay for em...) it should be about 5-10$ or you might even find it in a bargain bin , its fairly old. Then download DoD mod (if you like ww2) Natural Selection (if you like the idea of "aliens" vs "marines" ala starcraft or the movie "aliens") , Then theres CS , everyone I think knows what that is (being the most popular online game and all still). It also has amx mods for instance I play CS War3/frozen throne amx mod. Gives you CS with cool powers and an experience growing system *(like RPG's). Also if your comp isnt top notch it wont matter you should be able to handle any half life mod if you can handle the original bf1942.


Also tribes 2 is freeware now ;) , try it out if you like the idea of huge maps and being able to fly and customize your weapons to the extreme (and armour , and items)

Unfortunately well you can still get the game and play single player it'll be awhile before you get a cd key to play online. Although A friend of mine SAID he got one last week and the sign was the same so if you just sneak around fileplanet and just add your name etc to the following link and send it anyway ya never know ;).

Bah lol now I can't find it (I'll keep looking though I was there last night for someone else) , its on the fileplanet site , it asks for your info so they can send you a key hopefully still works (I also got my key when they said they werent handing out more so who knows.) if all else fails check out tribalwar.com etc any of the tribes fansites most of their forums have tons of info.

dude just refresh the page sometimes the free servers dont load for me either, all sites for games have "free download" servers they just have a wait time man. About 20% of the time or so it just freezes and never loads the icons for em I just refresh ;). My bud is in your shoes man , he's not used to downloading games and such I've been walking him through too ;). the free servers should load about 3 inches (real space) under the subscriber servers :) , they actually give pretty close to the same speed from what I get on the free ones compared to what ive heard from subscribers (of their speed).

tribes = gay game where u fly around in jetpacks and try to shoot people who are flying around using game exploits (oh yes i AM talking about skiing)

yes....any game that makes you track targets and anticipate where they might be must be too difficult for a 12yr olds reaction time. Much easier if they have a bright red dot above their head that says "SHOOT HERE". Tribes was fun in its time, but sadly most of the good mods/servers have since shut down. CS was fun up until the 1.3 patch IMHO, but i haven't played any of the new ones so my opinion isn't worth much there.

Skiing was a simple concept to master, and once you know the basics of firing a real weapon, its not that difficult to knock their asses out. BTW, learn how to type and stop posting trolling bullshit. I have better things to do with my time then play some stupid little pissing contest with a 12yr old.

you dont have to subscribe you have to register ......register on gamespy , you use your gamespy id to get to fileplanet's download. I dont have a subscription man I can download it. Look for register they always (any site) try to suck you in with subscriptions. But if you just want access to a few files and their forums registering is all thats usually necessary (just like registering for here dude EXACTLY like it) :). In the upper left corner of any fileplanet page their should be a "log in?" button and under "if you dont already have a gamespy id register here" with register in bold.
