Man if you got the space and the money go for it. I don't think I would up grade the vita gro, you will probably want GH nutes or one of the others on that site. They have good nutes. I like drip systems but I wish I had it.

That shit is way to expensive. and you will run out of room. A pot plant needs a large container to grow in. This would be a much better system and it would be way less expensive.

Take a look at the difference in size. They are the same strain. I started them at exactly the same time.

I have personally seen that unit in their show room. The one gallon buckets are small but they do work and the system works good. After you get a few grows under your belt you will install you own 5 gallon buckets to grow big. Next you need CO² with a good controller AC for cooling a few more lights and you can grow KBS style.

Go big and grow trees like these.

Look at Yeskamaster's results. The system you have in mind is like 12 of Yeskamaster's Waterfarm hydro units except without a main resevoir controller thing. His cost like $40 each. You could get six of them and get a 1000W HPS or MH, and get great results for about $500. I think that a twelve bucket system would need more than just one 1000W light for optimum conditions and effeciency, especially if your growing large plants with maximum yield potential. It's a terrible feeling when you grow your plants, but you wished you had more or better equipment. 6 buckets of plants could take up as much as 36 square feet of grow space and need for light. Thats 6' by 6' and I think a 1000W system would just cover that. It will save in your usage of nutrients, and water consumption. If you have a big room, like 12' x 12', I would use at least 2 or more 1000W ballasts. I've seen 6000W of light in 12' x 12' room but there were over 65 plants in there in a dirt grow.

ok so say i bought 3 or 4 water farms and a 400 watt hps system and some nice healthy seeds and start 3 or 4 plants. what confuses me is feeding it the nutrients. do i change the water every week? When do i feed it...what do i feed it...and how, do i just pour it right into the water?

sounds like your new to this. 3 or 4 waterfarms would be fine for 400 watts, but I would spend the extra $100-$150 for the 1000W which you could use if you wanted to add on or grow bigger. Read up on hydroponics. There is a lot to know. The waterfarm is a drip-style unit so that's what to readup on. Do what I did to learn how........read, read, read. Re-read it too. Compare, contrast, copy it to your computer. There is all the information or links to it that you need here. Your success will depend greatly on how much research and developement you do. I have a wonderful time constantly improving my system. I hope you do to. Good luck!!!

so ya wanna go simple- then do it..
get 2 - power growers from General Hydroponics or get 4...
they are very simple...

you make a nutrient mixture in the bottom bucket
you plug in the unit.
the water from the bottom bucket gets pumped to the top bucket and feeds your plants

very simple and perfeect for 400watts..

WTF????? first you wanted an eight bucket hydro system for $1000 that needs at least 2000W for optimum potential, and now you say you can't run more than 400W??????? Dude, do your homework and come back when you have something to offer. THat 8 bucket system you say "Im gonna buy" might fit up your ass better than next to your computer

the power growers are just more expensive decorative versions of the waterfarm. Those pot plants would sure look great IN MY LIVING ROOM in those fancy schmancy pots WHEN THEY LEGALIZE IT.

Does anyone have a fucking brain in their heads today?
DId you all have bowls of stupid for breakfast?????
Your village called, they want their idiot back.

Junk, You could actually just build your own.

Storm is right the water farm is about 10 dollars less than the ecogrower...

Hey Storm, It's sooooo easy to pass judgement on others.... huh ?
Try turning it down to a 9. This is a help forum. Not "I am GOD and I have all the answers forum". Everythig is ok.

I have to go back to the village now... : )

One more thing, the resivoir on the Water Farm is 1/3 smaller than the resivoir on the Eco grower... relevant but not a deal breaker

Waterfarm is $35 at Hydro Empire

Power Grower is $69 elsewhere

not a tough decision if it were mine
