how do i identify different types of weed?

hey im not that new at smokeing buds i have about 2 years under my belt and i was wondering if anyone could tell me how to indentify different types of weed and how potent each type is.

sometimes it could be hard to tell

u cud tel shwag by it being a darker color and seeds and steam.

but if the bud is a nice green, with allot of crystals or orange hairs on it, its probably good buddah.

How potent each type is? You're going to be a loooooooooooong time figuring that one out. There are literally thousands upon thousand of different kinds of dope, all have slight different effects. Some are sativa strains, they grow tall, lanky, and produce a head high, energy/up high. Then there are Indica strains, they grow shorter, thick, and produce a couchlock/narcotic high. Then you have the mixes, that what most strains are now-a-days. They are a mix of Indica and Sativa, so you get a little of both. It is rare to find a 100% sativa plant, but when you do, buy it, you will not be dissapointed.

But, as the above poster said, if it is crystal covered, usually means it's good. If it's brown, has a lot of lumber, seeds, hardly any crystals, means it's kind of shitty.
